The Office of the President (OP) of Nueva Vizcaya State University successfully conducted ELEVATE OP: Enhancing Leadership, Excellence, Values, and Administrative Training Experience for OP Staff and Student Interns, a professional development seminar-workshop designed to strengthen workplace competencies, foster professional growth, and prepare participants for success in academic and administrative environments.

The four-day seminar-workshop brought together student interns, student assistants, and staff from the Office of the President and the Office of International Affairs Head Secretariat in a series of engaging and practical learning sessions. The initiative aimed to enhance professionalism, communication skills, customer service competencies, event management capabilities, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence across various disciplines.

The program commenced on May 15, 2026, at the Executive Meeting Room, New Administration Building, NVSU Bayombong, with “Managing Up 101”, facilitated by Atty. Regine Karla G. Tabas, where participants learned strategies for building productive professional relationships and effectively supporting supervisors and organizational goals. This was followed by “Blueprint for Professional Excellence” by Ms. Aira Leigh S. Rumbaua, which emphasized workplace professionalism, personal development, and excellence in service.

On May 19, 2026, the seminar-workshop continued via Zoom. Recognizing the growing relevance of technology in the modern workplace, Mr. Michael R. Lacar delivered a session on “AI in Every Profession: Practical Applications for OJT Students Across All Disciplines.” The discussion highlighted practical and responsible ways of integrating artificial intelligence into various fields and professions, equipping participants with valuable digital skills for the future. To further strengthen workplace readiness, Ms. Austine Ember T. Bobila facilitated a session on “Customer Service and Frontline Assistance,” emphasizing effective communication, professionalism, and quality service delivery.

Participants also gained insights into event planning and coordination on May 20, 2026 at the OP Ideation Room, New Administration Building, NVSU Bayombong, through the Introduction to Events Management, conducted by Ms. Chrizel Mae V. Pagbilao, where they explored the fundamentals of organizing and managing successful events.

The seminar-workshop concluded with an OJT Send-Off Program held on May 25, 2026 at the Executive Meeting Room, providing an opportunity for reflection, recognition, and appreciation of the interns’ contributions and accomplishments throughout their internship journey. The activity culminated with a Message from the University President Dr. Wilfredo A. Dumale, Jr., commending the student interns for successfully completing their internship engagement and encouraged them to carry forward the values of professionalism, integrity, excellence, and service as they pursue their future careers. He also emphasized the importance of continuous learning, adaptability, and commitment to personal and professional growth in an ever-evolving workplace.

Through ELEVATE OP, participants not only acquired practical workplace knowledge and skills but also strengthened collaboration, camaraderie, and professional relationships within the Office of the President. The activity reflects NVSU’s commitment to developing competent, responsible, and future-ready individuals who embody leadership, excellence, and service.

As the interns embark on the next chapter of their academic and professional journeys, the lessons and experiences gained from ELEVATE OP will continue to serve as valuable foundations for their future endeavors.

Before the Mayors of Nueva Vizcaya’s 15 Municipalities, Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) shared its accomplishments, future directions, and vision for stronger partnerships with local government units during the 8th Regular Meeting of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) – Nueva Vizcaya Chapter held on June 3, 2026, in Ambaguio, Nueva Vizcaya.

Invited by the League, NVSU presented the University’s continuing progress in instruction, research, extension, innovation, internationalization, and infrastructure development. Among the highlights shared were the University’s expanding international partnerships, growing research and extension initiatives, improved facilities, and increasing recognition in national and international rankings.

The gathering also provided an opportunity to explore areas where NVSU and local government units can work more closely together, particularly in education, agriculture, community development, research, capacity-building, and other programs that directly benefit Novo Vizcayanos.

The presentation was warmly received by the municipal leaders. In a significant show of support, the League issued a resolution commending the presentation and recognizing the strides achieved by NVSU in recent years. The recognition reflects the confidence of local leaders in the University’s growing role as a partner in the development of Nueva Vizcaya.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Mayor Benjamin “Jamie” Lloren Cuaresma III of Bambang, President of the LMP Nueva Vizcaya Chapter, for the invitation and opportunity to present NVSU before the province’s local chief executives. We likewise thank the Municipality of Ambaguio for hosting the meeting and were delighted to learn that Mayor Ronelio B. Danao of Ambaguio is an alumnus of NVSU Bambang.

This recognition belongs to the entire NVSU community—our faculty, staff, students, alumni, partners, and stakeholders—whose dedication and commitment continue to move the University forward.

More than a presentation of accomplishments, the gathering reaffirmed a shared commitment to work together for the progress of Nueva Vizcaya. As NVSU continues to grow, we remain committed to ensuring that every achievement of the University creates meaningful opportunities for our communities and contributes to a better future for every Novo Vizcayano.

A new landmark is rising at the NVSU Bambang Campus. 📚✨

Made possible through the funding assistance of former Congresswoman and Member of the NVSU Board of Regents, Hon. Luisa Lloren Cuaresma, this four-storey Library Building is envisioned to become a vibrant hub for learning, collaboration, and student life.

More than a library, the facility will provide expanded learning spaces, an elevator for accessibility, a coffee shop, event venues, and scenic terraces overlooking the beautiful landscapes of Bambang—creating an environment where students can learn, connect, and thrive.

This project reflects our continuing commitment to providing quality facilities and enriching the student experience at NVSU.

And this is only the beginning.

More developments are set to unfold as we continue building a better and more future-ready NVSU Bambang Campus for our students and the communities we serve.
