The Faculty of Natural and Mathematical Sciences Supreme Student Council (FNMS-SSC) calls on the FNMS community to take part in the 𝗨𝗦𝗦𝗖 𝗙𝗡𝗠𝗦-𝗦𝗦𝗖 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

The Faculty of Natural and Mathematical Sciences (FNMS) welcomed its students, especially its newest members, during the 𝗙𝗡𝗠𝗦 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗻𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 held on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟯 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗦𝗨 𝗚𝘆𝗺𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘂𝗺.

Carrying the theme “𝗕𝗮𝗴-𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝘀𝘂𝗴𝗼𝗱: 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀, 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀,” the onboarding introduced students to the FNMS community, its departments, student organizations, and the resources available to support them throughout their university journey.

The program also featured discussions on VSUEE Navigation, student and health wellness, and GAD and safe spaces, followed by an open forum where students could raise their questions and concerns.

More than an orientation, the event marked the beginning of new connections, opportunities, and experiences for every FeNoMinal.

Project C² commenced its morning tutorial session, Foundational Chemistry, led by Tutors Niel Clarin Jr., Justin Dave Flores, and Mary Jane Baring. Freshmen joined online to reinforce core chemical principles and build a solid foundation for their science courses.

𝐀 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐍𝐨𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲!

Yesterday, August 11, the Faculty of Natural and Mathematical Sciences welcomed its newest members during the VSU Student Onboarding, a day designed to help freshmen find their footing in a new academic home.

The day began with an orientation that introduced our freshies to the university community, the people who will become part of their journey, and the opportunities that await them beyond the classroom. But getting acquainted with university life meant more than knowing where to go, it meant knowing the people they would journey with.

Through a series of group dynamics and interactive activities, the new FeNoMinalS broke the ice, shared a few laughs, and began turning unfamiliar faces into new friends and fellow learners.

The day then unfolded beyond the four walls of the orientation venue through a 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿, giving our freshies their first glimpse of the spaces they will soon come to know as part of everyday student life, from places of learning to spaces where memories are made.

More than an introduction to the university, the onboarding was a beginning: a first step toward finding their place, building connections, and becoming part of the FNMS community.

To our new FeNoMinalS, welcome home. Your journey has only just begun. 💙💛
