During the launch of the C.O.R.E. (Cultivating One Red Spartan Ethos) Program at the University’s 123rd Charter Day Celebration on April 13, 2026, Batangas State University President Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo reminded the Red Spartan community of their shared responsibility as members of the Philippines’ National Engineering University.

How a Red Spartan teaches, studies, decides, and serves is where these values are upheld.

Representing Pablo Borbon Campus, Lee Russell Castillo and Racy Anne Ramos were hailed as Mr. and Ms. BatStateU The NEU 2026.

Taking the first runner-up spots were Rodrigo Miguelle Lansangan and Maxquel Hoseña of Alangilan Campus. Second runners-up were Keith Arthur Espiritu from Lipa Campus and Louis Jane Mendoza from JPLPC-Malvar Campus. Third runners-up included Ariel Hernandez of JPLPC-Malvar and Elisha Claire Tuscano from Lipa Campus. Completing the circle of winners as fourth runners-up were Jeyd Apolona and Silvherlyn Caisip of ARASOF-Nasugbu Campus.

Meanwhile, the celebration continued as 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗵𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗺𝘀: 𝗔𝗻 𝗢𝗣𝗠 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁 rocked the stage! 🎶

In celebration of Filipino culture and creativity, the BatStateU@123 program culminated in an unforgettable musical experience, showcasing the best of BatStateU’s musical talent. In collaboration with the University Student Council (USC), BatStateU Faculty Confederation, and BatStateU Non-Academic Staff Association (NASA), the concert energized the crowd and highlighted the vibrant spirit of Original Pilipino Music (OPM).

From crowning moments to electrifying performances, the night truly celebrated Filipino artistry and pride! 🎤🎸

: The winners of the Red Spartan Amazing Race and The Great Red Spartan Quiz Show were celebrated at the 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 ! 🏆🎉

After a fierce competition, the champions of both events were recognized for their exceptional teamwork, resilience, and knowledge. Team Excellence (BatStateU Alangilan) took home the victory in the Amazing Race, showcasing unparalleled collaboration and determination, while the quiz champions from Team Resilience (Pablo Borbon) demonstrated their deep understanding of BatStateU’s rich history and core values.

In the Amazing Race, Team Faith (Lipa) secured 2nd place, followed by Team Resilience (Pablo Borbon) in 3rd. Meanwhile, the Quiz Show saw Team Faith (Lipa) take 2nd place, with Team Integrity (Central) coming in 3rd.

The ceremony was a true celebration of the Red Spartan spirit—honoring the outstanding achievements of participants and reinforcing the university’s commitment to excellence, service, and unity.

The presentation also highlighted key timelines for nominations, emphasizing the importance of recognizing those who make significant and lasting impacts through their service. Each team, made up of a student leader, faculty member, non-academic staff, and an administrator, is testing their knowledge on BatStateU’s history, milestones, and contributions to education, research, and innovation.

The competition is progressing through three rounds of increasing difficulty, starting with basic questions about BatStateU’s founding and achievements, moving on to more challenging questions about institutional developments, research centers, and programs, and culminating in advanced questions about BatStateU’s role as the Philippines’ National Engineering University and its national contributions.

With teams representing five campuses and Central Administration, the Great Red Spartan Quiz Show is sparking friendly competition, fostering collaboration, and deepening everyone’s appreciation for BatStateU’s heritage. 🔴💡

: The morning festivities were capped off by a heartwarming and inspiring performance of Dulaang Batangan featuring "𝗞𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻: 𝗔 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘄𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆"!🎭✨

The play, centered around a time capsule project, brought to life the powerful journey of BatStateU students as they shared stories of struggle, doubt, and resilience. Through the characters of Tantan, Bonnie, Abigail, Chelsea, Clarky, and Benson, the play highlighted how BatStateU’s core values—Patriotism, Service, Integrity, Excellence, Resilience, and Faith—have shaped their journeys and continue to guide them forward.

The performance, rich in emotion and symbolism, captured the heart of what it means to be a Red Spartan, and how these values are not only learned but lived every day by the BatStateU community. 🌟
