𝘾𝙇𝘽 𝙇𝙍𝘾 𝙅𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙇𝙖𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙮

Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas through its Learning Resource Center joined the book launching and donation activity of three Batangueño authors on January 7, 2025, at the Provincial Library, HELP Information Management Building, Capitol Compound, Batangas City.
The party featureed the launching of the books “Sons of Batangas,” written by Ian Gutierrez and Conrado Bugayong, both from Batangas City, and “Snippets of Life,” authored by Ma. Eireen Conty Macaranas of Lipa City. Although they are currently living abroad, this has not been a hindrance for them to continue to promote the spirit and lesson of looking back or recognizing their respective places of origin, as well as appreciating the culture and history of the Province of Batangas.
The activity was implemented under the leadership of the Batangas Provincial Library, attended by Vice Governor Mark Leviste, Provincial Administrator Wilfredo Racelis, who was there in lieu of Governor Hermilando Mandanas, Secretary to the Municipal Council Mr. Nelson Bayani, and Provincial Librarian Alexander Lunar. Several representatives from the Department of Education – Batangas Province and Batangas City, Batangas History Society, as well as librarians and administrators of libraries from different towns, cities, schools, and universities in the province were also present during the event.

The Learning Resource Center is one in the celebration of the 90th National Book Week Celebration with the theme "Magbasa, Magdiwang, Mangarap". The office remains committed to its promise to provide an immersive kind of learning to students as it launches its activities for the week:

CLB through its Learning and Resource Center is committed to its service to its students. As part of that commitment, it continues to search for partnerships and ties with other institutions to provide the best learning experience to everyone.

With that in mind, LRC fortified its partnership with the Batangas Provincial Library. The network and collaborative effort aims at ensuring reliable library services would be provided to the students. by a widened and broadened access to specialized academic resources. This will further enrich the learning experience of students and readers in general.

Mr. Alexander Lunar, Librarian III, and Ms. Jane Ilao, Librarian II of BPL, warmly welcomed the delegation of CLB headed by Ms. Maria Isabel L. Alea, Head of Library Services together with her team members, Ms. Susan Cantos and Mr. Jay Alain Fernandez.
