Please be advised that classes in ALL LEVELS, both PUBLIC and PRIVATE schools in the Municipality of Batan, Aklan, are hereby SUSPENDED today, July 10, 2026 (Friday) due to the anticipated enhancement of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) intensified by Typhoon Inday.

An Executive Order will follow.

Everyone is encouraged to stay indoors when possible, take the necessary precautions, and continue monitoring official announcements for further updates.

The following measures will take effect:

📣 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 – All individuals entering the school premises will undergo security screening.

📣 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐄𝐱𝐢𝐭 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 – During morning arrival and afternoon dismissal, only the designated entrance and exit gates shall be used.

📣 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐬 – Authorized school security personnel, in coordination with the Guidance Office and SSLG, may conduct reasonable and non-discriminatory random security checks in accordance with existing DepEd policies while respecting the dignity and rights of every learner.

These measures are preventive, ensuring that our school remains a safe, secure, and motivating environment for everyone.

The SSLG encourages all students to cooperate with school personnel and comply with these guidelines. Your understanding and cooperation are essential in making a safer school community.

Yesterday, Sunday, June 14, 2026, the community of the Immaculate Conception Parish gathered in profound joy and reverence to receive the fifth bishop of the Diocese of Kalibo, Most Rev. Cyril B. Villareal, D.D., on the auspicious occasion of his pastoral visit.

The morning unfolded in a beautiful symphony of faith, culture, and community spirit, commencing with a vibrant welcome parade through the streets. Lined with students enthusiastically waving flaglets, the path was filled with the rhythmic cadence and elegance of the band majorettes and the drums and lyres from Batan Academy (A National School). As the procession reached the church, the grounds came alive with the rich traditions of our town in a stirring display of cultural devotion. The acclaimed Ati-ati tribe from Camanci National High School—𝘏𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘵 𝘊𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪!—and the dynamic 𝘒𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘸 𝘞𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘳𝘴 from the Kalantiaw Institute offered magnificent, spirited performances in honor of our Bishop. The morning reached its pinnacle at 8:30 AM inside the sacred sanctuary of the church, where the faithful united in mind and heart for the solemn celebration of the Holy Mass, presided over by Bishop Villareal.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the educators, students, performers, and parishioners whose dedication transformed this pastoral visit into a deeply inspiring encounter of communion and grace.

“Bayanihan Para sa Matatag na Paaralan”

As we gear up for the opening of another academic year, Batan Academy (A National School) warmly invites parents, alumni, partners, and community members to join hands for our annual Brigada Eskwela this coming June 1–5, 2026!

Our school is more than just a building—it is a second home for our learners. To ensure a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for every student, we are seeking your valuable support through volunteerism and material donations.

🤝 HOW YOU CAN HELP:
1️⃣ Be a Volunteer!
Lend us your time and skills! We need helping hands for painting, minor repairs, gardening, and deep cleaning the school grounds.

2️⃣ Donate Materials!
We are currently accepting the following items to help refresh and equip our classrooms and facilities:

Cleaning Supplies: Walis ting-ting / tambo, floor wax, mops, brushes, dustpans, timba/tabo, powder/liquid detergent.

Maintenance & Construction: Cement, hollow blocks, paint, paintbrushes, and gardening tools.

Health & Safety: First aid kits, alcohol, disinfectants, and hand soap.

School & Office Essentials: Bond paper, printers/ink, and school supplies for our learners.

Green Spaces: Potted plants to help beautify our campus!
