𝟭𝟲 𝗖𝗖𝗧𝗩 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗶 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁

Camaligan National High School has strengthened its safety and security measures with the installation of 16 functional closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras across the school premises.

The project was made possible through the generosity of the Alumni Batch 2000 following the Alumni Homecoming in 2025 which sponsored materials amounting to ₱47,726. Labor expenses were supported through the school’s Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE) and Canteen Fund.

The school community expressed its gratitude to the Alumni officers, headed by Ms. Ailene A.Tagudando of Batch 2000, the host batch, along with Alumni Coordinators Ms. Marilou R. Abias and Mr. Gilbert Surtido, Mr. Muriel Encinas, Mr. Napoleon Saraza, Mr. Amorsolo Quiñones, Mrs. Maribel Quiñones, and the school’s utility personnel and security guards for their assistance and continued monitoring.

With the installation of the 16 CCTV cameras, CNHS further reinforces its commitment to a safe, secure, and conducive learning environment for its learners and personnel while protecting school property and facilities.

GUIDANCE OFFICE RECOGNITION: The Power of Being a Responsible Bystander

The Guidance Office would like to give special recognition to Mark Anthony B. Sales, a Grade 11 student of ASSH, for his commendable act of courage and responsibility during an altercation that occurred outside the school premises last June 29, 2026. 👏

Mark Anthony played a key role in de-escalating the conflict involving fellow students. During the Guidance interview, he shared that as soon as the situation had calmed down, he immediately proceeded to the main campus to report the incident — a responsible action.

The Responsibility of a Bystander:

Witnessing bullying or conflict between students isn't just a passive moment, it's a call to act responsibly. As members of the school community, every student shares the responsibility to:

1. Not stay silent when witnessing bullying or violence among peers.
2. Avoid encouraging or escalating the situation (e.g., recording for entertainment, cheering, or spreading rumors about it).
3. Report immediately to a trusted adult or proper school authority.
4. Check on those involved, when safe to do so, and offer support.

Mark Anthony's actions are a clear example of how one student's choice to step up, rather than stay silent or walk away - can make a real difference in keeping our school community safe.

𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐲 | 𝐆𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐘

Starting June 30, 2026, the 𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐆𝐚𝐭𝐞 will be used for 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲. If you usually enter through the Old Gate, don't forget to bring your packed lunch since re-entry through that gate during lunch break will no longer be allowed.

Students are encouraged to read the advisory carefully and cooperate as we implement these strengthened security measures for a safer school campus. 🏫
