ISUFST Main Campus Library Tiwi Site Hosts Activity on How to Access Online Databases

On March 30, 2026, the ISUFST Main Library Tiwi Site recently conducted an activity titled "Online Databases: Tools for Academic Excellence," attended by both faculty members and students. The event aimed to support and promote the library’s efforts to enhance academic growth by introducing participants to the newly subscribed online databases for eBooks and eJournals.

With the increasing trend of students using gadgets for learning, these digital resources have become more popular than ever. By integrating technology with traditional research methods, the library encourages students to engage more deeply in academic research, complete assignments, and fulfill other course requirements—maximizing the benefits of these Tritech Digital Media(ebooks) and Gale OneFile Custom(ejournals).

This initiative not only supports students and faculty in their studies and instructional needs but also helps develop essential information literacy skills, empowering them to find and use information effectively—a key to success in today’s digital age. Despite the shift toward digital resources, Mrs. Jossa Blancada, College Librarian III, reminded everyone of the continued importance of books and printed materials, emphasizing their reliability and proven role in enhancing comprehension and memory retention.

Library and Student Organization Unite with GAD to Promote Health and Empowerment for Women’s Month

In collaboration with Samahan ng mga Mag-aaral sa Humanities at Agham Panlipunan (SAMAHAN) and with Gender and Development (GAD), the Main Campus Library Tiwi Site proudly celebrates Women’s Month by advocating wellness and a balanced lifestyle. This year’s celebration centers on two essential areas: nutrition and health.

The event emphasize the vital role nutrition plays in supporting mental health, particularly during the challenging midterm examination period. To help students, faculty, and staff of ISUFST sustain their energy and well-being, complimentary coffee and bread were offered to all attendees. This thoughtful initiative empowers the entire campus community to stay healthy, focused, and resilient—promoting long-term wellness for all.
