𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟏𝟎 𝐝𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞

Gov. RV Evardone has ordered the suspension of classes in all levels across Eastern Samar on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, due to the effects of the shear line, which is bringing heavy rains.

The suspension covers both public and private schools to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and school personnel.

The decision was made following advisories from PAGASA, warning of continuous heavy rainfall ranging from 100 to 200 millimeters, which may cause flooding in low-lying areas and landslides in mountainous parts of the province.

Several areas, including Borongan City and many municipalities, were placed under orange and yellow rainfall warnings, indicating serious weather risks.

Along with the suspension of classes, work of teaching and non-teaching personnel in schools is also suspended.

Residents are advised to remain alert, monitor official announcements, and take necessary precautions as heavy rains continue to affect Eastern Samar.
