Ipinagdiriwang natin ngayong Agosto ang 𝘽𝙐𝙒𝘼𝙉 𝙉𝙂 𝙆𝘼𝙎𝘼𝙔𝙎𝘼𝙔𝘼𝙉. Ang tema para sa taong ito ay may pamagat na, “𝓢𝓪𝓵𝓪𝔂𝓼𝓪𝔂 𝓷𝓰 𝓑𝓪𝔂𝓪𝓷, 𝓢𝓪𝔂𝓼𝓪𝔂 𝓷𝓰 𝓑𝓪𝓷𝓼𝓪”. Sa bisa ng Presidential Proclamation No. 339 s. 2012 ni Pangulong Benigno Aquino III, ipinagdiriwang na mula Agosto 1-31 ang Buwan ng Kasaysayan. Ito ay pagkilala naman sa mga mahahalagang kaganapan sa ating Kasaysayan.

Nawa'y panatilihin nating buhay ang mga kuwento at aral ng nakaraan upang magsilbing gabay sa kasalukuyan at maging sa hinaharap. Ang pagkakaroon ng kamalayan sa kasaysayan ng Pilipinas ay makapagbibigay-daan tungo sa higit na pagpapahalaga ng pinagmulan ng ating lahi.

Ito ang angking yaman ng kasaysayan - sumasalamin ito sa ating pagkakilanlan. Nakapagbibigay ito ng hindi mapapantayang pananaw sa iba’t ibang usaping panlipunan sa paglipas ng panahon. Gamitin natin ito nang tama - pag-aralan at pagkuhanan ng inspirasyon.
