Abra High School – Sinalang Extension Scouts Participate in Simultaneous Tree-Planting Activity for the 80th Abra Council Charter Anniversary
In celebration of the 80th Abra Council Charter Anniversary, the Scouts of Abra High School – Sinalang Extension took part in a Simultaneous Tree-Planting Activity, demonstrating their commitment to environmental conservation and community service. The activity was led by Mr. Genie Sibal, the Scouts' adult leader, together with representatives from the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO).
During the activity, the participants planted 50 asuete seedlings across the grounds of Abra High School – Sinalang Extension and Sinalang Pilot Elementary School. Beyond increasing the schools' green spaces, the initiative encouraged students to become more responsible stewards of the environment and highlighted the value of protecting natural resources for future generations.
Joining the Scouts were the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) officers and the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) officers, whose active participation helped make the event a success. Working side by side, the students demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and a shared sense of responsibility toward caring for the environment.
The activity served as a meaningful reminder that lasting environmental change begins with collective action. Through the combined efforts of the schools, youth leaders, and CENRO representatives, the celebration of the Abra Council's 80th Charter Anniversary became more than a commemorative event—it became an opportunity to leave a positive and lasting impact on the community.
