As part of the Nutrition Month Celebration, Bangbangcag Elementary School successfully provided a healthy merienda to all learners last Tuesday through the initiative of our dedicated School Head, Ma'am Fedelyn Tacis, with the full cooperation and support of the teaching and non-teaching personnel.

This meaningful activity reflects our shared commitment to promoting healthy eating habits and ensuring that every learner is nourished, energized, and ready to learn.

In support of the Department of Education's commitment to ensuring safe and resilient learning environments, our school proudly joined the nation in kicking off the observance of National Disaster Resilience Month 2026. Guided by this year's theme, "Naghahanda at Kumikilos Tungo sa Panatag na Bagong Pilipinas,". Through the initiative and unwavering support of the Municipality of Bucay under the leadership of Mayor Andrea Ma. Francheska "Jaja" Bernos,and Vice Mayor Judor Zales, the Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Campaign and Basic Life Support (BLS) Training was made possible in partnership with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Bucay.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to MDRRM Officer Margarita Sanico and her team for leading the program and for sharing their valuable knowledge and expertise during the IEC and BLS Training.

Our sincere gratitude is also extended to PCPT Miguel Cawi Jr., acting Chief of Police, Bucay MPS, and Acting Warden INSP. Adriano Saong of the Bucay District Jail, together with their personnel, for their active collaboration and unwavering support in making this activity informative, engaging, and successful.

Together, let us continue to strengthen our partnership in promoting disaster preparedness, resilience, and a culture of safety, ensuring a secure and disaster-ready school and community for all.

Today, our learners joined the Twinsday (Tuesday Wash in School) toothbrushing activity, promoting healthy smiles and good hygiene.

Let's continue practicing proper toothbrushing every day for strong teeth, healthy gums, and confident smiles!

Bangbangcag Elementary School Distributes Hard Hats During the 38th National Disaster Resilience Month!

In observance of the 38th National Disaster Resilience Month with the theme "NAGHAHANDA AT KUMIKILOS TUNGO SA PANATAG NA BAGONG PILIPINAS", Bangbangcag Elementary School successfully distributed hard hats to all learners, Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel, reinforcing the school's commitment to disaster preparedness and the safety of every child and staff.

The initiative was spearheaded by the School Head, Mrs. Fedelyn M. Tacis, in collaboration with the school's Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Coordinator, Maricel Tuzon. With the support of the class advisers, the distribution was conducted efficiently, ensuring that everyone will received a protective hard hat.

The hard hats were provided through the CUCO Fund, made possible through the initiative and support of Sir Jun Bisares Rifareal Jr., DRRM Focal Person of DepEd Abra. His efforts in facilitating the provision of the CUCO Fund have enabled schools to strengthen disaster preparedness by providing learners and staff with essential protective equipment.

During the activity, learners were reminded of the proper use of hard hats and the importance of observing safety protocols during earthquakes and other emergency situations. This initiative reflects the school's continuing commitment to building a culture of safety, preparedness, and resilience.

Bangbangcag Elementary School extends its heartfelt gratitude to DepEd Abra, particularly to Sir Jun Bisares Rifareal Jr., DRRM Focal Person, for his initiative in facilitating the provision of the CUCO Fund. The school likewise thanks all stakeholders and partners whose continued support contributes to creating safer, more resilient, and disaster-ready schools for every learner.
