2026 National Womenโ€™s Month Celebration at Aklan State University โœจ

Aklan State University officially commenced its National Womenโ€™s Month Celebration, embracing this yearโ€™s empowering theme:
๐Ÿ’œ โ€œWE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Societyโ€
๐Ÿ“ฃ โ€œLead like babaylans, Filipinas!โ€

The program opened with meaningful preliminaries, setting a unified and purposeful tone for the celebration. A message of support from University President Dr. Jeffrey A. Clarin was delivered on his behalf by Dr. Michael T. Ibisate, Planning and Development Director and Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the President, as Dr. Clarin attends an important engagement in Manila.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the official opening of the Womenโ€™s Month Bazaar, creating a vibrant space that highlights community participation and support for local initiatives.

The celebration also featured informative sessions on safety and awareness, including Crime Prevention Awareness led by PMAJ Dandy J. Gonzolado, Acting Chief of Police, and Fire Prevention Awareness facilitated by SFO2 Jeffrey Refindor, Chief of BFP Banga. These sessions encouraged active participation and meaningful discussions among attendees.

In the afternoon, the ASU Faculty Association (ASUFA) - Banga Chapter conducted empowering and wellness-centered activities such as a Martial Arts Self-Defense Workshop, along with free services including haircut, manicure, and pedicureโ€”promoting both personal safety and self-care among participants.

๐Ÿ’œ The celebration reflects ASUโ€™s continued commitment to fostering an inclusive, informed, and empowered communityโ€”honoring the vital role of women in nation-building.
