📚 SWSA Departmental Meeting | October 4, 2026

The Social Work Students Association (SWSA) successfully held a productive meeting with the Acting Dean, Mr. Mohaymen O. Somalipao, on October 4, 2026, at The Palm Café.

The meeting provided an avenue for meaningful discussion, coordination, and planning for initiatives that will further strengthen student engagement and the Social Work Department. Among the key matters discussed were:

🔹 Online conduct and responsible social media use
🔹 Classroom cleanliness and proper maintenance
🔹 Proper uniform, vest, and department dress code
🔹 Freshmen orientation and department familiarization
🔹 SWSA student elections and leadership
🔹 Social Work Day 2027 preparations
🔹 Proposed SWSA legacy projects
🔹 Upcoming department programs and activities
🔹 Other matters concerning the Social Work students

As future social workers, may we continue to embody the values of service, integrity, compassion, and social responsibility—not only inside the classroom but also in our organization and community.

Today, the students from the Department of Social Work came together for a General Cleaning on our campus. 🧹✨

This activity may seem simple, but it reminds us that service begins with responsibility, discipline, and concern for others. Before we can serve communities, we must first learn to take care of the spaces we share and the environment we live in.

Because service starts with taking care of what’s around us.

As Allah SWT says in the Qur’an:

«“Indeed, Allah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves.” — [Qur’an 2:222]»

Cleanliness is not only about having a clean campus. It is also about having a clean heart, sincere intentions, and the discipline to do what is right even when no one is watching.

May this activity remind us that being a social worker is not only about helping people in times of need—it is also about being responsible members of our community and taking action, no matter how small. 🤝🌱

ATTENTION: ALL SOCIAL WORK STUDENTS ‼️

The Department Clearance will officially run from July 26 to August 6, 2026. All students are encouraged to process their clearance within the scheduled dates.

Please take note of the following reminders: Students with 5 or more penalties are required to report to the Social Work Dean's Office on Sunday before processing their department clearance. In addition, All male students are required to have a clean haircut prior to processing their Department Clearance.

Kindly follow these requirements to ensure a smooth and hassle-free clearance. Your cooperation and compliance are highly appreciated.

The Department of Social Work of Khadijah Mohammad Islamic Academy (KMIA), under the supervision of the Acting Dean sir Wingz Mo Ko and in collaboration with the Social Work Student Association (SWSA) officers, conducted a room-to-room visit to warmly welcome our first-year students. This initiative aimed to help our freshmen feel comfortable, informed, and at home as they begin their academic journey at KMIA.

To all our freshmen, welcome to the Social Work Department and welcome to the Khadijah Mohammad Islamic Academy family! We are truly grateful that you have chosen KMIA as your partner in education.
