On 𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘆 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗗𝗮𝘆, the NU Literates Community honors 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼 “𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘆” 𝗦. 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗝𝗿., whose courage and sacrifice became a defining chapter in Philippine history.

His life reminds us that 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘁.

He once said, “𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗱𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿.” Today, those words continue to challenge every generation to ask what they are willing to do for the country they call home.

This initiative aims to extend help to the communities and families affected by the recent flooding in Calumpit.

An initiative by Tanghal Sining: Singkaban, in collaboration with NU Baliwag – Community Extension, Tanghal Sining: Center for Performing Arts , Dampian Lahi Theatre Ensemble, Central Student Government - NU Baliwag, Tanghal Sining: Nuebe Nobela, Tanghal Sining: Teatro Edukado, Quintal Campus Publication,
Sexuality and Gender Alliance, Nationalian Service and Resilience Corps - NU Baliwag,
Solace Giver Peer Group, NU Baliwag
Economics Society, School of Education, Arts, and Sciences Student Council, Psychology Society, and Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants NU Baliwag.

Last year, we came together through Kapit Bisig, Calumpit to lend a helping hand to those affected by the floods. This year, as Calumpit once again faces a difficult situation, we are bringing back the initiative through Kapit Bisig, Calumpit 2.0.

Together, we are organizing a donation drive to support and extend help to communities greatly affected by Super Typhoon Crising.
