761 Promoted Teachers of Kalinga Took Oath in Landmark Ceremony.
The ceremony was led by Regional Director Estela P. Cariño, the driving force behind the ECP implementation in the region. In an inspiring and heartfelt message, Director Cariño emphasized that professional advancement is inseparable from spiritual and social gratitude. She addressed the teachers directly, "Be thankful for the blessings you have received, and to those who work for it and ensure that you are able to share these blessings with your students," she urged.
​The event was further distinguished by the presence of Governor James Edduba, who graced the ceremony to show the provincial government’s support for the education sector. In his message, Governor Edduba acknowledged the rigors of modern teaching, noting that educators today must balance a complex tasks to stay at par with a rapidly changing world. However, he maintained that the true measure of a teacher lies in the soul of their students. "At the end of the day, character is the most important." He pointed out that a good foundation of values ensures that students will display righteousness to wherever and whatever job they may land. He expressed his hope that these promotions would serve as a fresh spring of inspiration and deeper dedication to serve the students and the whole Kalinga community.
​Closing the ceremony on a high note, Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Gloria Buya-ao offered a challenge to the newly promoted personnel. Acknowledging their hard work and the "climb" they had made in their careers. "As you climb higher, you gain a better view of the children with big hearts" SDS Buya-ao told the assembly. Her words served as a powerful reminder that every step up the career ladder is an opportunity to better see, understand, and nurture the potential of the learners in their care.

Balantoy ES was recently visited by the Philippine Dental Association (PDA) Kalinga Chapter, led by Dr. Rose Eleanore T. Morados. With the team were Dr. Pryncene Dale Colangan, Dr. Wendy Adora, Dr. Karizia Balawan, and SDO Kalinga dentists Dr. Jane Sacliwan and Dr. Rose Adeline Lacsina, provided free dental services.
​THe team provided IEC
​on proper dental care for both pupils and parents present,
​Fluoride application for Kinder to Grade 3 pupils to prevent cavities. ​Distribution of dental supplies, such as milk, toothpaste, and towels. Teeth screening and extractions.
​Cleanliness and sterility were strictly observed throughout the activities, with close supervision from Dr. Morados and Dr. Sacliwan. School nurse Gay B. Bonggaoen was also present to provide assistance to the doctors and pupils.
Thank you very much PDA Kalinga Chapter for this generous visit. Our learners are now armed with healthy teeth and brighter smiles making them focused on their studies without distraction.
