The Institute of Public Administration and Governance (IPAG) successfully conducted its extension project on October 29, 2025, in Pilar, Bataan, in close collaboration with the Municipality of Pilar and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Pilar Office. The event was held at the Municipal Public Market Multi-Purpose Hall and gathered barangay officials, entrepreneurs, and community stakeholders..

This initiative forms part of the Green Business Project, which aims to promote sustainability, resiliency, and inclusive growth through the institutionalization of green business practices. The project specifically seeks to:

✅ Educate local government workforce and the business community on the impacts of climate change and its effects on both businesses and the wider community.
✅ Highlight the importance of creating and institutionalizing green business policies that foster environmental protection and economic resilience.
✅ Develop a localized policy framework tailored to the unique context and cultural values of the community to ensure relevance and effective implementation.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mayor Charlie F. Pizarro for his continued support, and to the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) headed by Ms. Jezreel Ann O. Malanum for their coordination and assistance, which greatly contributed to the success of the program.

Together, we advance toward a greener, more sustainable, and climate-resilient Pilar, Bataan! 💚

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐒²𝐓𝐄𝐏𝐒: 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞

Patuloy ang pakikipagtulungan ng Bataan Peninsula State University – Institute of Public Administration and Governance (BPSU-IPAG) sa Pamahalaang Bayan ng Mariveles sa pagpapatupad ng Project S²TEPS, na layuning paunlarin ang soft skills ng mga kawani ng LGU.

Noong Oktubre 23, 2025, matagumpay na naisagawa ang ikatlong yugto ng programa sa temang “𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐌𝐚𝐱𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭: 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞𝐬.” Tinalakay dito ang mga epektibong estratehiya sa time management, administrative and prioritization skills—mga kasanayang mahalaga upang mapalakas ang produktibidad at kalidad ng serbisyong pampubliko.

Ang 𝐁𝐏𝐒𝐔 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝐈𝐏𝐀𝐆), katuwang ang 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬, ay muling nagsagawa ng isang makabuluhang pagsasanay sa ilalim ng Project S²TEPS noong Oktubre 17, 2025.

Sa ikalawang yugto ng programa na may temang “𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐬: 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞,” binigyang-diin ng aktibidad ang kahalagahan ng epektibong komunikasyon bilang susi sa maayos na koordinasyon, matatag na ugnayan, at mas inklusibong pamamahala sa loob ng lokal na pamahalaan.

The Institute of Public Administration and Governance successfully conducted another extension project through a policy development workshop in Orion, Bataan, under the Green Business Project, which aims to institutionalize sustainable and climate-resilient business practices among local stakeholders.

Day 1 of the Green Business Project was held on September 24, 2025, and was participated in by department heads and barangay officials of the Municipality of Orion. Meanwhile, Day 2, conducted on October 14, 2025, gathered representatives from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) who actively took part in the discussions and workshops on green business practices.

Through this initiative, we worked hand in hand with the Municipality of Orion, local government officials, business owners, and community leaders to deepen awareness of climate change impacts on local economies, promote the integration of green business policies and develop a localized sustainability framework that reflects Orion’s unique community values

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Municipality of Orion, led by Mayor Antonio L. Raymundo Jr., for the warm welcome and support; and to the Office of Business Permit and Licensing, Ms. Margarette Pangan of MENRO, and to Ms. Melissa R. Perez of DTI Bataan for their invaluable assistance in making this project possible.

Ang BPSU Institute of Public Administration and Governance (IPAG), sa pakikipagtulungan sa Pamahalaang Bayan ng Mariveles, ay matagumpay na nagsagawa ng extension program na layuning paunlarin ang soft skills ng mga kawani ng lokal na pamahalaan noong Oktubre 10, 2025.
