But here’s what most students miss :

When 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 show up together, you don’t always multiply first — you go from 𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭!

𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. They’re partners, not a strict order.

Try this:

(15-3)²÷6x4+3

Most people rush and get 9, but the correct answer is 99!

Here’s why:

(15−3)=12

12²=144

144÷6=24

24×4=96

96+3=99

So remember: 𝐏𝐄𝐌𝐃𝐀𝐒 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐬, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭-𝐭𝐨-𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨𝐨!
When you see a mix of × and ÷ (or + and −), solve them in order from left to right.
