AN OPEN LETTER TO OUR FELLOW UCIANS ๐๐ซ
To all our fellow UCians,
You are not alone. The dream of a better university is one we all carry. We envision a future defined by expanded campuses, sufficient facilities, and systems that actually work for us, and not against us.
For nearly a decade, the Tuition and Other Fee Increase (TOFI) has moved in only one direction: upward. Still, the services we depend on continue to decline. We see the toll this takes clearly, from students pushing themselves to the breaking point to make ends meet, to parents working double shifts, all for an educational experience that feels stagnant.
We still carry the effects of an inefficient school calendar, inadequate student spaces, and limited learning resources on our backs. We still complain when we experience the slow wi-fi, the on-off elevators, and the push-pull from busy weeks to empty hours. These are not minor inconveniences, but real lived experiences that require change, not resilience nor indifference. Especially not when we pay thousands of pesos every year, again and again.
In the ongoing struggle for genuine, free, and high-quality education, we must stand together. We call for a 0% TOFI for the next school year. It is time that we demand transparency, democracy, and quality put over profit. Our education is not a commodity, it is our future.
Yours In Struggle,
Kalasag UC

In the spirit of Panagbenga, we came together to offer our heartfelt HANDOG to the families and children of Baguio City at the Melvin Jones Grandstand. What bloomed that day was more than just celebrationโit was love expressed through service, kindness, and shared smiles. ๐
Through decorating cookies ๐ช, creating heartfelt cards ๐, and spending meaningful time together, every moment became a reminder that even the simplest gestures can bring the greatest joy. Seeing the happiness in their eyes and feeling the warmth of the community made this experience truly unforgettable. โจ
Just like the flowers of Panagbenga ๐บ, love continues to bloom when it is shared. We are grateful to extend our hearts in service and to be part of something that celebrates compassion, unity, and the true essence of giving. ๐คฒ๐ป

From creating sweet treats and heartfelt cards to simply spending time together,๐ every small gesture carried a big message: that love goes beyond words, it is something we choose to give. Seeing everyone come together with open hearts made this celebration even more special and unforgettable.
Grateful to everyone who shared their time, effort, and warmth to make this day possible. This was more than just a Valentineโs celebrationโit was a reminder that love, in its sincerest form, is found in service, connection, and community. ๐ค

UC admin: Students are free to join walkout.
With their verbal recognition of students right to protest, various students from University of the Cordilleras submitted a letter to the Office of the President to formally affirm the students plight in ending corruption and demanding just and accessible social services.
The act of submitting the letter already marks a meaningful step forward, and the administrationโs formalization of this request would further reinforce this commitment. Regardless of the outcome, students of the University of Cordilleras is more than determined to stand collectively in responding to the issues that affect our communities.
This agency to join the BaguioโBenguet Walkout on November 18 is a testament to our hunger for justice, genuine social change, and accountability.
