YES-O Newly elected OFFICERS๐
The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (Yes O) election is a cornerstone event in educational institutions, empowering students to champion environmental causes. Beyond merely selecting leaders, this process cultivates environmental consciousness, hones leadership abilities, and instills a profound sense of responsibility. Through engaging campaigns, thoughtful debates, and collaborative discussions, students gain critical insights into urgent environmental challenges like climate change and pollution. This heightened awareness not only encourages the adoption of sustainable personal habits but also transforms students into proactive advocates for environmental preservation within their communities.
Furthermore, the Yes O election acts as an invaluable training ground for emerging leaders. Aspiring officers develop crucial skills in public speaking, strategic thinking, and effective decision-making, learning to articulate their vision, orchestrate campaigns, and work synergistically with their peers. This hands-on experience provides practical application of leadership principles, equipping students with competencies that extend far beyond the classroom into their future careers and roles as engaged citizens. The shared act of electing officers also fosters a collective sense of accountability, encouraging students to actively participate in environmental projects and support their chosen representatives in achieving their goals.
Ultimately, the Yes O election and the subsequent work of the elected officers are vital for cultivating a sustainable future. These student leaders spearhead initiatives such as tree-planting, waste management programs, and awareness campaigns, often collaborating with school staff and external environmental groups to integrate sustainable practices into the school's operations. This comprehensive approach ensures that the Yes O election is more than just an annual poll; it is a dynamic process that educates, empowers, and inspires students to become responsible environmental stewards, contributing significantly to a greener and more resilient world for everyone.

From January 15 to 17, YES-O members and officers came together to improve the school environment through a series of clean-up and landscaping projects. Starting with the herbarium on the 15th, they worked together to plant and clean, proving that teamwork is more important than gender. On the 16th, they focused on the area around the school stage, picking up trash and planting new greenery to make the space more inviting. By January 17, the organization had prepared the school grounds, clearing debris and replanting, setting beside the stage for a beautiful garden. Their collective sacrifices effort showed how everyone will work together regardless of the gender, we can all contribute to a cleaner, greener school environment! ๐๐ฟ
