Yellow
For almost a month,
The rain has not stopped.
The rain, mist, and cold that once felt
Beautiful and peaceful
Have become something we now dread.
The skies stay grey,
And the sound of rain fills our days.
Streets are flooded, homes are damp,
And the weight of the storm
Is heavy on our hearts.
In moments like this,
We remember how small we are
In the face of nature.
But even in the middle of this long storm,
We still have hope.
We believe in a God who is faithful.
A God who sees us,
A God who protects us,
A God who never leaves
Even when the winds are strong
And the water rises.
So we turn to Him,
Holding on to trust.
We ask that the rain would stop,
That the storm would lose its strength,
That the skies would clear.
We long for warmth,
Dry ground,
And rest.
We long for yellow:
Sunlight, lightness, and joy.
We pray for protection
Over our homes and families.
For enough food on the table,
For dry clothes,
Safe places to sleep,
And good health.
We lift up our children;
May they be warm, and well-fed
We pray for our pets,
Our neighbors, frontliners
And those who must leave home to work
May they be out of harm’s way.
We ask for comfort,
Provision,
And strength.
More than anything,
We hold on to this truth:
God is still good.
Even in the storm,
He is with us.
Even when things feel uncertain,
He is our anchor.
This season will pass.
And when it does,
We will say with full hearts:
God was with us,
And He carried us through.
Thank You, Jesus.
I can sleep now.🎵🎶
