2026 Summer Remediation Program (SRP) with ARAL Programs: Orientation and Launching
Doña Aurora National High School successfully conducted the orientation for learners and parents, together with a separate orientation for teachers, for the 2026 Summer Remediation Program (SRP) with the integration of the ARAL Programs on May 4, 2026. The program officially started on May 6, 2026, marking its first day of implementation.
The orientations provided clear guidance on the goals, flow, and expectations of the summer program. Learners and parents were briefed on how the SRP is designed to help address learning gaps, strengthen essential competencies, and prepare learners for the next grade level. Parents were likewise encouraged to actively support and guide their children throughout the duration of the program.
On the other hand, the teachers’ orientation focused on the implementation process, roles, and strategies in delivering targeted interventions under the ARAL Programs, ensuring that learning sessions are meaningful, focused, and responsive to learners’ needs.
The program is made possible through the commitment of our volunteer ARAL teachers, who generously offered their time and expertise to support learners’ academic growth.
With the successful launch on May 6, Doña Aurora National High School continues its strong commitment to learning recovery and to ensuring that every learner is given the opportunity to improve, grow, and succeed.

DANHS Holds AIA Day for Health and Wellness Initiatives
Doña Aurora National High School (DANHS) celebrated its participation in the AIA Schools Healthiest Programme through an AIA Day held on March 16, 2026, at the school grounds. The activity was conducted in partnership with the Corazon Sanchez Atayde Memorial Foundation (CSAMF) and highlighted the school’s efforts to promote health and wellness among students, teachers, and community stakeholders.
A key highlight of the event was the presentation of four teacher and student-led initiatives implemented under the program: Mind Matters, Wellness Reset, Boxing Bakbakan: Para sa Kalusugan, and Sustaining Student Vitality. Student proponents, together with their teacher advisers, presented the objectives, implementation process, and outcomes of their projects before fellow students, teachers, and community partners.
Through these presentations, the proponents demonstrated how their initiatives addressed various aspects of teachers, students, and community stakeholders’ well-being, including mental health awareness, healthy lifestyle practices, and physical fitness.
The projects were evaluated by a panel of six judges as part of the school-based recognition of the program. Among the distinguished guests and judges present during the event was CSAMF Director of Partnerships, Ms. Margarita Atayde, who expressed her support for the school’s initiatives under the AIA Schools Healthiest Programme.
During the awarding ceremony, the Mind Matters Project received the Innovative and Community Engagement Awards, while the Wellness Reset Project was recognized with the Sustainability and Best Presenter Awards.
In the afternoon, two focus group discussions (FGD) were simultaneously facilitated by the AIA representatives with selected teachers and students centering on the impact of the four projects implemented to the school.
The event reflected DANHS’s continuing commitment to fostering the physical, mental, and social well-being of its learners, teachers, and stakeholders through innovative initiatives. Through the AIA Schools Healthiest Programme in partnership with the Corazon Sanchez Atayde Memorial Foundation, the school strives to building a stronger and healthier school community.
