The Cordillera Landslide Knowledge Management Center Project Team is thrilled to be part of the 2023 Regional Science, Technology and Innovation Week (2023 RSTW) currently being held in Bangued, Abra!

We will be presenting the LKMC website, which is part of the larger project on the "ESTABLISHMENT OF A LANDSLIDE KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT CENTER FOR CAR" jointly undertaken by the Department of Science and Technology - CAR (DOST - CAR) and the Cordillera Studies Center UP Baguio. The website aims to be a useful resource to researchers, scientists and community members alike, and responds to one of the project's objectives to "provide an accessible, reliable and centralized mechanism of data sharing and exchange that is useful for local government planning and decision making as well as local community awareness on landslide preparedness and mitigation."

See you all there!

In observance of the National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM), the Landslide Knowledge Management Center project will be presented at the Cordillera Resilience Summit organized by the Office of the Civil Defense on July 12, 2023, at Newtown Convention Center.

With the theme โ€œBIDAng Pilipino: Building a Stronger Filipino Well-being towards Disaster Resilienceโ€ other DRRM-related projects will also be presented.

Recognizing the significance of these collaborative efforts, the event plays a pivotal role in enhancing the region's preparedness and response to disasters.

Through an active engagement in this annual event, stakeholders have an opportunity to contribute to the overall disaster resilience strategy of the region. Their involvement will help shape and reinforce government programs, ensuring they are aligned with the needs and aspirations of the community.
