On April 28, a post published on the SLU Freedom Wall alleged that some officers of the SONAHBS Assembly were involved in red-tagging. This post has since fueled speculation, amplified rumors, and stirred unnecessary fear within the community.

The SONAHBS Assembly does not take this lightly.

We strongly condemn the harmful practice of red-tagging. We speak not only as an organization, but as individuals who understand how serious and frightening these accusations can be. In a context where such labels have led to harassment, threats, and even loss of life, making claims without clear evidence or due process is not just careless—it puts real people in danger.

Red-tagging is not an abstract issue. It affects lives, families, and communities. It creates fear, silences voices, and damages trust. This is exactly why it must be firmly rejected especially when accusations are thrown recklessly, without verification, and without accountability.

Let us be unequivocal: the SONAHBS Assembly firmly denies these allegations. They are baseless, unverified, and a distortion of who we are and what we stand for. We refuse to allow our organization and its members to be maligned by rumor and speculation. We stand by our commitment to free expression, principled discourse, and the right of people to dissent without fear.

At the same time, we will confront these accusations directly. We will undertake a thorough and transparent internal investigation to establish the facts and uphold our standards. Accountability is something we actively uphold. Should any action fall short of our principles, it will be addressed accordingly.

We stand in firm solidarity with all those who have suffered from red-tagging. No individual or group should be placed in harm’s way because of unproven claims. This is not just about our name but about protecting the dignity, safety, and rights of everyone in our community.

We call on the public to act with responsibility and critical judgment. Do not participate in the spread of unverified accusations. Do not allow misinformation to dictate narratives. Words have consequences, and in situations like this, those consequences can be severe.

The SONAHBS Assembly remains resolute: red-tagging has no place in any society that claims to value justice and human rights. We will oppose it, challenge it, and refuse to be complicit in its normalization. We will defend our integrity, stand by our principles, and continue to act firmly and without compromise.

Ngayong Araw ng Manggagawa, hindi sapat ang "Salamat sa serbisyo." Ang kailangan ng manggagawang Pilipino ay hustisya sa bulsa at dignidad sa trabaho!

Sa gitna ng nagtataasang presyo ng bilihin, ang sahod natin ay nananatiling pako sa lupa. Hindi tayo makina; tayo ang nagpapatakbo ng ekonomiya, kaya marapat lang na ibigay ang nakabubuhay na sahod!

Ang tunay na pagkilala sa manggagawa ay wala sa mabulaklak na salita, kundi sa sapat na kita at makatarungang sistema.

As Day 1 of the Arts Festival, which showcased the Dance Festival, comes to a close, we couldn’t be more proud of the passion, discipline, and artistry shown by every member of Theatri Sonata Artium.

Bringing home a 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 – 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆 by Caesar B. Cuevas Jr. and Julianne B. Ramos, along 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗸 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. This stands as a testament to the countless hours of training, creativity, and teamwork poured into each performance. How’s the exam? Is it giving "I’m so bright, my future is blinding" or is it giving "I need a long vacation and a new identity"? Honestly, same! I looked at the test paper and I was like, "Wait, is this Math or is this a secret code to a treasure chest?" because I couldn't understand anything! It’s so confusing, right?

If you feel like you failed, don’t be sad! Ang mahalaga, if the answer is not in your brain, it’s because your brain is saving space for more important things... like the lyrics to my favorite songs or the latest chika!

Success is not just about the grades. It’s about the EFFORT. As long as you did your best (kahit yung "best" mo ay manghula). If you pass, congrats! If not, maybe the universe wants you to stay in school longer para mas marami kang ma-meet na friends? See? Positive thinking lang, mga bakla!
