𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗞𝗮𝗠𝗮𝗚-𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 | 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮

On May 29, 2026, the 3rd KaMaG-Aral National Conference continued with another full day of scholarly exchange, reflection, and meaningful conversations on citizenship education, historical memory, disinformation, and Social Studies research.

Day 2 began with a recap of the highlights and insights from Day 1, followed by Plenary Talk 4, Stories We Distort: Indigenous Data Sovereignty, Disinformation, and What Citizenship Education in the Philippines Gets Wrong, delivered by Dr. Karminn Daytec-Yangot of the University of the Philippines Baguio. The morning session also featured Plenary Talk 5, Mnemonic Wars: Notes on Historical Memory and Disinformation in the Philippines, delivered by Asst. Prof. Luis Zuriel P. Domingo, MA, also from the University of the Philippines Baguio, followed by an open forum and the awarding of certificates to the plenary speakers.

In the afternoon, participants took part in parallel sessions featuring paper presentations from educators, researchers, and scholars across various areas of Araling Panlipunan and Social Studies education. The day concluded with a synthesis by Asst. Prof. Donna Mae Ponce-Batnag, MA, Chair of the Social Sciences Research and Extension Institute.

We are pleased to announce that the registration for the 2026 Midyear Training on Quantitative Data Analysis for Social Science Research is now open. The training workshop will be held on 𝟮𝟮-𝟮𝟰 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗨𝗣 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗼!

This training workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of quantitative data analysis. By the end of the program, participants will be able to organize quantitative data and apply descriptive, inferential, and regression analysis. They will also learn to interpret results and communicate insights effectively through data visualization, using tools such as the R programming language.

The workshop combines lecture-discussions, hands-on exercises, and presentations by participants based on real-world datasets to reinforce applied learning.
