Flipped classroom is a form of blended learning which incorporates both face-to-face class time and web-based learning.

It shifts the learning from teacher-driven to more student-centered as the class time is repurposed to include active learning and student engagement.

A "pedagogical approach in which direct instruction moves from the group learning space to the individual learning space, and the resulting group space is transformed into a dynamic, interactive learning environment where the educator guides students as they apply concepts and engage creatively in the subject matter".

Blended Learning is much more than a convergence of F2F and online learning experiences.

It represents a fundamental reconceptualization and reorganization of the teaching and learning dynamic, starting with various specific contextual needs and contingencies (e.g., discipline, developmental level, and resources).

It incorporates in campus experiences, including learning independently, collaboratively with peers, or from home.
