The University of Baguio Supreme Student Government successfully spread love beyond Valentine’s Day through its Post-Valentine’s Booth held at the Legacy Building on February 25–27, 2026.

UB High School students experienced the thrill of fun mini-games, enjoyed sweet treats, and captured special moments at their FREE photo booth—all they had to do was bring a loved one! This is a testament that love isn’t measured in calendars—it’s measured in depth and through connection.

ENGAGING BEYOND BORDERS (WEEK 2): UBHS YOUTH LEADERS TRAIN FOR PEACE AND SELF-DEFENSE🛡️🕊️

University of Baguio High School (UBHS) student leaders took part in the Life Skills and Leadership Training Week 2: Self-Defense, held on September 27 in partnership with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) and Youth on Point. The training, led by JO1 Arvin L. Jose, focused on the theme “Strength for Peace, Not Violence.”

The participants engaged in a hands-on session that showed awareness, discipline, and preparedness in protecting themselves and others in most situations, further learning that true self-defense begins with avoiding conflict, and when necessary, using learned techniques to disengage safely, not to harm.
‎
This meaningful activity reminded the youth participants that leadership is not only about guiding others, but also about standing firm for what is right and leading when it is truly needed.

This initiative also reflects UBHS’s commitment to SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, by empowering students to promote safety and non-violence in their communities. With this, UBHS continues to develop students who are not only skilled, but also socially responsible and committed to building a more peaceful society.

ENGAGING BEYOND BORDERS (WEEK 1): UBHS STUDENT LEADERS IGNITE THEIR JOURNEY 🔥

The University of Baguio High School (UBHS) student leaders participated at Youth on Point’s (YOP) Life Skills and Leadership Training 2025 on September 20, 2025, at Baguio City Hall Park, launching a series of learning experiences designed to shape future nation builders.

Week 1 highlighted Basic Fire Safety and Personal Development with Goal Setting, where participants gained lifesaving fire prevention skills and discovered how to find their personal “compass” by reflecting on their strengths and values—equipping them to lead with clarity and purpose.

From an initial 10 UBHS student leaders to now over 30 active participants, this growing circle proves that true leadership sparks others to rise, creating a ripple of inspiration beyond the classroom.

This participation is in line with the Supreme Student Government’s flagship platforms—Bond Beyond Borders and Expanse to Engage and Excel—and stands as a powerful step toward empowering today’s youth to lead communities with courage, service, and vision.

With YOP’s LSLT 2025 as their springboard, UBHS student leaders are ready to break boundaries, strengthen connections, and help build a brighter, more resilient future

ENGAGING BEYOND BORDERS: UBHS YOUTH STEP UP AS EMPOWERED NATION BUILDERS 🫂

University of Baguio High School (UBHS) student leaders made their mark at Youth on Point’s (YOP) Life Skills and Leadership Training Kickoff 2025 held on September 13, 2025, at Emilio Aguinaldo Park. Demonstrating exceptional leadership, social skills, and active community engagement, they stood out among 127 participants.

Four UBHS student leaders—Johanna Tacderas, Amir Pineda, Chris Apdal, and Megan Degollacion—earned four of the eight prestigious leadership awards, a testament to their outstanding performance. Meanwhile, Darren Dueñas contributed as a Junior Coach, playing a key role in organizing the event.

Other UBHS leaders—Ashley Nicole De Jesus, Ichiro Gonsadan, Jemimah Legaspi, and Frances Ballog—also showcased collaboration and excellence within their groups, further proving the strength and dedication of UBHS student leadership.

This kickoff marks the beginning of the Supreme Student Government’s platforms, including Bond Beyond Borders and Expanse to Engage and Excel, as the UBHS delegation embarks on YOP’s six-week Life Skills and Leadership Training Series. Through this journey, their skills will be sharpened, and their learnings will inspire not only their peers but the entire UBHS community.

MAKULAY NA PAGDIRIWANG NG BUWAN NG WIKA 2025, SASABOG SA UB CARDINALS GYM!🇵🇭

Itinakda ng University of Baguio High School ang makulay na pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika 2025 sa darating na Setyembre 8, 2025 sa UB Cardinals Gym na may temang “Paglinang sa Filipino at Katutubong Wika: Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa.” Tampok dito ang iba’t ibang paligsahang magpapakita ng husay at pagkamalikhain ng mga mag-aaral gaya ng Maramihang Pag-awit, Katutubong Sayaw, Interpretatibong Sayaw, Dalawahang Pag-awit, Paglikha ng Reels/Tiktok Bidyo, at Lutong Pinoy. Ayon sa pamunuan, natukoy na ang mga pinalista sa bawat kategorya na magtatagisan ng talento at galing, at inaasahang magiging makabuluhan ang selebrasyon bilang pagpupugay sa wikang Filipino at sa mayamang kulturang Pilipino na nagbubuklod sa bansa.
