This announcement clarifies the status of stipend releases for students under the Grants-in-Aid Program (GIAP) and Full Discount with Stipend (FDS) at UP Baguio.
Because of the UP System Mandatory Holiday Break, which officially starts on December 19, 2025, the processing of documents has been paused.
Key Summary of the Announcement
Affected Group: Grantees who submitted their documentary requirements on or after December 9, 2025.
Reason for Delay: UP Baguio employees are on a mandatory holiday break (scheduled for December 19, 22, 23, 26, and 29). This includes the Accounting and Cashier’s offices, which handle the final disbursement of funds.
New Estimated Release: Your stipend is expected to be credited during the first or second week of January 2026.

Qualifications: (Undergraduate)
1. Must be a natural born Filipino citizen;
2. Must be a bonafide student enrolled in any undergraduate degree program (except for Freshie) in the university;
3. Must be enrolling to at least 15 units for the First Semester A.Y. 2025-2026;
4. Must have a cumulative General Weighted Average of at least 1.75 (Kindly submit TCG for all previous semesters);
5. Must not be a second degree taker;
6. Must not be a DOST scholar;
7. Must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action;
Benefits:
₱ 10,000 stipend per semester
₱ 2,000 Book/IT Allowance per semester
