A series of technical assistance sessions were conducted on June 16 and 17, 2026, as Education Program Supervisors (EPS) visited the school to provide guidance, feedback, and professional support to teachers and coordinators aimed at improving learning outcomes and strengthening instructional practices.
On June 16, Sir Sydney Chan M. Cariรฑo, Education Program Supervisor for Special Needs Education (SNED) and Kindergarten, provided technical assistance focusing on the management and support system for learners with special needs. He emphasized the importance of reviewing the school data on identified SNED learners to ensure that appropriate interventions are provided based on their individual needs.
Sir Sydney highlighted the need to strengthen the implementation of the pull-out intervention program, ensuring that identified learners receive consistent and targeted support. He stressed that the intervention should be conducted daily and properly facilitated by the SNED Coordinator. He also encouraged the preparation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for identified SNED learners to provide a clear guide for teachers in addressing learnersโ academic, behavioral, and developmental needs.
Also on the same day, Mam Virginia C. Alindayo, Education Program Supervisor in Science, shared valuable insights on improving Science instruction through an inquiry-based learning approach. She emphasized that Science lessons should encourage learners to become curious, ask questions, investigate, analyze evidence, and develop conclusions based on their observations and discoveries.
Mam Virginia encouraged teachers to design learning experiences where learners actively participate in experiments, problem-solving activities, and real-life investigations. She highlighted that inquiry-based learning helps develop critical thinking, collaboration, and a deeper understanding of scientific concepts rather than focusing only on memorization of facts.
On June 17, Mam Marilyn S. Api-it, Education Program Supervisor in Filipino, together with Public Schools District Supervisor Mam Brendalee C. Awingan, provided technical assistance and feedback on the use of the ILAW format in lesson planning. They guided teachers in ensuring that lesson plans are well-structured, learner-centered, and aligned with the intended learning objectives.
The supervisors emphasized the importance of creating meaningful learning activities that match the competencies and address learnersโ diverse needs. They also reminded teachers to ensure that assessment tasks are aligned with the objectives and provide opportunities for learners to demonstrate their understanding and application of skills.
The technical assistance sessions served as a valuable opportunity for teachers to reflect on their practices, receive professional guidance, and enhance their instructional strategies. Through the continuous support of Education Program Supervisors,Public Schools District Supervisor and school leaders, the school remains committed to providing quality, inclusive, and responsive education for all learners.
