The Leon B. Postigo Campus sports and fitness gymnasium was filled with warmth on the afternoon of July 24, 2026, as students gathered for a seminar that began with five simple words: _"It's okay not to be okay."_

Guest speaker Ms. Sheena May Q. Ponce delivered a student-centered session on mental health, emotional well-being, and personal growth.

Rather than a lecture, the seminar was interactive. Ms. Ponce guided students through exercises in self-awareness, encouraging reflection on identity, emotions, and daily stressors. She left the stage to speak directly with students, creating a space where topics like emotional fatigue and self-worth could be discussed openly.

The orientation focused on two key ideas: building a healthy relationship with oneself, and practicing kindness toward others. By translating complex emotional topics into everyday lessons, Ms. Ponce reminded students that self-care is not a luxury, but a necessity for academic and personal growth.

Her activities emphasized empathy, listening, and mutual support โ€” skills students can use in classrooms, organizations, and at home.

By the end of the session, students left with more than notes. They left with validation, practical coping tools, and a renewed sense that they are seen and valued on campus.

The event reinforced PAC-LBPโ€™s commitment to holistic student development. As the new school year begins, the message is clear: _understanding yourself is the first step to building a supportive and connected community._
