To ensure a seamless, productive, and well-guided academic year, Mariano Gomes National High School successfully held its General Parents’ Orientation for School Year 2026-2027. The school welcomed the parents and guardians of Grade 8 and 9 learners during the morning session at 9:00 AM, while the Grade 7 and 10 parents gathered for the afternoon session at 1:00 PM. This event served as a vital platform to align the school's vision with parental support, laying the groundwork for the holistic development of our Gomesian learners.

The comprehensive program covered everything from administrative introductions to academic protocols and student safety policies.

The orientation officially opened with a solemn prayer, followed by the patriotic singing of the Makabayan Song. Mrs. Rachel R. Solis, School Head, warmly welcomed the attendees and delivered inspiring opening remarks that emphasized the critical role parents play as partners in education.

Following the opening, parents were formally introduced to the school's dedicated workforce. This included the Non-Teaching Personnel led by Mrs. Jobee V. Pamaran, Administrative Officer II ,alongside the Grade Level Curriculum Chairpersons who oversee both the Poblacion and Talaba Extension campuses.

The Curriculum Chairpersons then mapped out the academic landscape for the year, providing an essential overview of the Three-Term transition, detailed class programs, and clear-cut guidelines on assessments, grading, awards, and recognition.

To reinforce policies on student welfare and discipline, the Guidance Advocates took the stage to discuss the Revised Student Handbook, focusing on positive intervention and student conduct.

Key institutional programs were also highlighted to reassure parents of a safe learning environment. Updates on the ARAL Program for reading, WINS (Wash in Schools), and DRRM (Disaster Risk Reduction and Management) protocols were thoroughly presented by their respective coordinators.

The program concluded with an active community dialogue. The Federation Parent-Teacher Association, led by President Mrs. Cherry Y. Torres, introduced its officers to encourage active parental involvement. This was followed by a productive Open Forum where Guidance Advocates directly addressed parental concerns, ensuring clarity, transparency, and mutual understanding.

This orderly and highly informative event was made possible through the seamless hosting of our Emcees, Mrs. Macrean B. Javier for the morning session and Mrs. Suzanne D. Javier for the afternoon session, alongside the collective effort of the faculty, staff, and student volunteers.

To our dear parents and guardians, thank you for your overwhelming attendance and active participation. Your presence proved that no matter the campus or extension, our commitment to our children's future remains unified. Let us march forward into S.Y. 2026-2027 with shared hope, shared goals, and shared success.

Since being first introduced in 2000, the Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Expression (SOGIE) Bill has languished in legislative limbo for 26 years.

Until now, it faces a systematic effort to extinguish its promise of protection rather than simply being stalled by time. This leaves every Filipino—regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression—vulnerable to discrimination without the shield of a national law.

Noong Hunyo 12, 1898, pormal na idineklara ang kalayaan ng Pilipinas sa 𝓚𝓪𝔀𝓲𝓽, 𝓒𝓪𝓿𝓲𝓽𝓮 sa pangunguna ni 𝓗𝓮𝓷𝓮𝓻𝓪𝓵 𝓔𝓶𝓲𝓵𝓲𝓸 𝓐𝓰𝓾𝓲𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓭𝓸. Sa araw ding iyon, unang iwinagayway ang watawat ng Pilipinas bilang sagisag ng pagkakaisa, pag-asa, at paglaya ng sambayanang Pilipino. 🕊️

Nagpamalas ng bayanihan at malasakit sa edukasyon ang mga TUPAD volunteers sa kanilang aktibong pakikilahok sa Brigada Eskwela 2026 ng Mariano Gomes National High School.

Sa pamamagitan ng kanilang pagtutulungan at dedikasyon, naging malaking bahagi sila sa paghahanda ng paaralan upang masiguro ang isang ligtas, maayos, at kaaya-ayang kapaligiran para sa mga mag-aaral sa pagbubukas ng klase.

Taos-pusong pasasalamat ang ipinaaabot ng MGNHS sa ating mga TUPAD volunteers sa kanilang oras, lakas, at serbisyong inialay para sa kapakanan ng mga Gomesinos. Ang inyong ambag ay patunay na sa pagkakaisa, mas marami tayong magagawang mabuti para sa ating paaralan at komunidad.
