Today, May 18, 2026, we commemorate National Higher Education Day in celebration of the founding anniversary of the Commission on Higher Education(CHED), established through Republic Act No. 11522 signed in 2021. Today also marks the beginning of the month-long observance of the National Higher Education Month 2026.

This day is a vital movement in the country’s pursuit of investing in higher education and making it more accessible and affordable for all.

Pampanga State University invites our faculty, students, non-academic staff, alumni, and the entire community to take part in the as we begin this month-long advocacy.

Pampanga State University commemorates the 84th Death Anniversary of Jose Abad Santos today, May 7, 2026. This day is observed as a special non-working holiday in the Province of Pampanga under Republic Acts 7552 and 8815, this day honors his ultimate sacrifice for Philippine sovereignty.

Let us carry forward his legacy of integrity, courage, and patriotism in all our endeavors.

𝗛𝘂𝗮𝘄𝗲𝗶 𝗲𝗞𝗶𝘁 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗛𝘂𝗯 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄

Two of our library staff attended the 𝗛𝘂𝗮𝘄𝗲𝗶 𝗲𝗞𝗶𝘁 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗛𝘂𝗯 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 last April 28, 2026, gaining insights into the latest in interactive display technology and collaborative solutions designed to enhance learning and workplace engagement.

𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄

Two of our librarians attended the 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 held last April 28, 2026 at the University Hostel Function Hall. Organized by the Fulbright Philippines, the event shared valuable insights on international scholarship opportunities, academic exchanges, and professional development pathways.

| 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞-𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠-𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗛 𝗢𝗙 𝗠𝗔𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲
To: All University Officials, Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel, and Students
1. In compliance with Memorandum Circular No. 114 issued by the Office of the President of the Philippines, directing all government agencies, including State Universities and Colleges, to adopt energy conservation measures, and anchored on CSC MC No. 6, s. 2022 and CSC MC No. 1, s. 2025, which provide the policies and guidelines on Flexible Work Arrangements in the government to mitigate power demand and address the impact of rising petroleum and energy costs, as well as directives from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) on the conduct of Online Classes, Pampanga State University shall implement appropriate flexible work arrangements.
2. In line with the foregoing, the following schedules shall be observed:
a. Faculty members shall conduct Online Classes on May 03, 04, 05, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18 and 19,2026.
b. Work-From-Home (WFH) arrangement for non-teaching personnel shall be observed on May 05, 12, and 19, 2026 except for personnel providing essential services such as security and utility services, who shall continue to report onsite as necessary.
c. On-site classes shall be conducted on May 24-31, 2026 in preparation and for the conduct of Final Examinations.
3. Immediate supervisors shall assign specific tasks to their unit personnel for inclusion in their Accomplishment Reports, while Deans, Campus Directors and Principal shall monitor online classes to ensure continuity and quality of instruction.
4. During regular onsite classes and office operations, all officials, employees, and students are strictly enjoined to observe energy conservation measures in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned Memorandum Circulars.
5. Further, in pursuant to CHED Memorandum no. 109 series of 2026 issued by the Office of the Chairperson, extracurricular and benchmarking activities are put on hold until further notice.
6. All issuances not consistent with this memorandum are deemed superseded.
7. For the guidance, strict compliance, and full cooperation of everyone concerned.

𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿/𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴

A library staff attended the Seminar/Training on Basic Archives and Records Management facilitated by the National Archives of the Philippines last April 22-23, 2026.

The training provided valuable insights on proper records handling, preservation, and disposal in line with established standards and best practices. Knowledge gained from this activity will support the continuous improvement of records and information management services within the library.

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿

A library staff participated in the Fire Safety Management Seminar organized by the OSH office last April 14, 2026.

The seminar enhanced awareness on fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and proper response during fire incidents. The learnings from this activity contribute to maintaining a safer and more secure library environment for both staff and patrons.
