A look back at one of our favorite faculty moments! 💙

One Team, One Mission. 🏁

Who says teachers only give the tests?

The teachers took on the challenge and traded classrooms for checkpoints in an exciting Amazing Race Team Building last June 04, 2025.

Divided into six fearless teams:
💚 Green Peace
💛 Yellow Surge
❤️ Red Gambits
💙 Blue Thunder
💜 Mayolet; and
🧡 Zest Squad

The teachers conquered 7 challenge stations that put teamwork, communication, strategy, and trust to the test.

After an action-packed race to the finish line, 🥇Team Zest Squad emerged as the overall champion, followed by 🥈 Team Yellow Surge in second place and🥉 Team Mayolet in third.

But beyond the podium, the real victory was building stronger connections, creating friendships, and proving that the best teams are formed through collaboration, shared challenges, and plenty of laughter.

The Amazing Race was more than just a competition. It was the perfect way to kick off the new school year with unity, energy, and a shared purpose.

One Team. One Mission. 🚩✨

As educators, we are united by a shared commitment to our school's Philosophy of Education, Vision, Mission, and General Objectives. These guiding principles inspire us to provide quality education, foster holistic development, and create a learning environment where every student can thrive.

The SJI Faculty Association proudly supports and upholds these ideals, working hand in hand with the entire school community in shaping learners who embody excellence, integrity, faith, and service.

“Concern for others is at the heart of a compassionate and connected society. It encourages empathy, kindness, and a willingness to support those in need, fostering stronger relationships and a more harmonious community.”
As one of the core values of St. John’s Institute, members of the Johinian community possess a strong socio-civic responsibility towards others especially those who are in need.

After the success of the SJI: One Night Only Concert, members of the SJI Faculty, headed by the SJI FC President Sara Gustilo, went to Sto. Nino Orphanage last March 28 to turn over a portion of the concert sales being its beneficiary.

The SJI Faculty is once more grateful to the school administration and especially the concert donors and sponsors for making the One Night Only a success and truly a moment to remember.
