BSIT students who are also members of the academic club SIPD gathered at LCCB on July 31, 2026, for the 1st SIPD General Assembly to officially kick off the new academic year and set the direction for the organization.

The gathering marked a major transition as former president Gilbert Lerion turned over leadership to incoming president Cemer Daniel Miranda. To guide the community forward, attendees reviewed the core goals of the BSIT program, while senior students showcased their capstone projects to give incoming freshmen a clear view of practical system development.

MIS heads Sir Edward Dolorfino and Sir Ernesto Lajo outlined essential computer laboratory rules to ensure safe and responsible equipment handling throughout the year. Organization adviser Mr. Betita shared key insights on tech industry trends, challenging first-year students to grow both personally and technically.

The assembly concluded with the introduction of the new SIPD officer team and a custom bingo game coded by Gilbert Lerion, with prizes provided by Sir Charles Torres and Sir Wil Agudelo.

Maximizing Technology. Driven by Purpose. Rooted in Faith. Focused on Community. Committed to Excellence.

From theory to practice.

The ICT-CSS students of Negros Occidental High School (NOHS) are currently leveling up their technical skills during their Work Immersion at LCC Bacolod. Focusing on coding and web development, these future tech leaders are demonstrating the competence required to thrive in a professional digital environment.

The immersion has reached a significant milestone as Mr. Lenuel Betita, the BSIT Program Head, has officially tasked the 25 students with a high-priority project: developing the official NOHS Website within a two-week timeframe. Organized into five specialized groups, the students are collaborating under his mentorship to apply systems management techniques to build a digital home for their alma mater.. This achievement was made possible through the dedicated guidance of their mentors: Sir Charles Torres, who served as the coding mentor, and Sir Vincent Bonifacio, who guided the teams as the design mentor.

The culminating activity was attended by NOHS faculty members Mr. Adrian Nemes and Ms. Precious Silva, who witnessed the students present their final web projects. Their presence underscored the strong partnership between NOHS and the host institution in monitoring student progress and celebrating their technical milestones.

During the ceremony, outstanding achievements were recognized as awards for the Best Website Development , Best Presenter, and Best Poster were selected, highlighting the exceptional talent and competitive spirit of the groups.

Society of Innovators ,Programmers and Designers - LCC Bacolod (SIPD) expresses its sincere gratitude to the LCC Bacolod Marketing Office for making this immersion program possible. Their coordination and support have provided an invaluable platform for student growth and industry exposure.

Here are some images from their stay and the successful concluding ceremony at LCC Bacolod.
