The Bacolod Hub was filled with warmth, creativity, and delightful finds during our Homeschool Bazaar last April 17! From delicious homemade treats to creative crafts and thoughtfully prepared learning materials, our homeschoolers poured their hearts into every detail of their booths.
It was also a meaningful opportunity for inquiring parents to see that homeschooling extends beyond the home—offering rich opportunities for socialization and community engagement, as experienced alongside our in-person Orientation happening that same day.
Kudos to our HG families whose support and participation made this event truly special!

From Seed to Plant: The Journey of Rice🌱

Last April 10, 2026, our students had a meaningful and hands-on learning experience as they explored the journey of rice—from understanding the different kinds of rice, where it comes from, and how it is carefully planted and grown by our farmers. 🌾
To deepen their learning, they also made palitaw, discovering how rice is transformed into something we enjoy every day. 🍽️

Soap Made Simple: The “Melt and Pour” Method! 🧼✨
In honor of National Homeschool Day, our community got hands-on and bubbly! We were so inspired by one of our own talented homeschool moms, who shared her soap-making journey and guided us through the art of mixing scents and designing custom blends.
From mastering the basics to pouring unique designs, it was a beautiful celebration of creativity, shared learning, and the joy of community. The best part? Everyone went home with their own fragrant, handmade creations! 🌿🫧

Making learning memorable — anytime, not just on a schedule! 💛
Our grade schoolers celebrated National Homeschool Day in the coziest way possible: a Pajama & Popcorn Party! 🍿✨ From morning to afternoon, the day was filled with giggles, snacks, hilarious Mad Libs, and a special show-and-tell with their favorite stuffed toys.
But it wasn’t just about the fun! A thoughtfully chosen movie became a beautiful moment for character building—helping our students reflect on life lessons, practice empathy, and enjoy meaningful bonding.
Connection, joy, and learning all wrapped into one cozy day. That’s the heart of our journey! 🧸🏠

This March, our high school homeschoolers embarked on a meaningful endeavor in celebration of National Homeschool Day: exploring the art of photography through our Snap & Share Photography Workshop.

Guided by our guest speaker, Sir Juro, students discovered creative techniques and immediately put them into action. Each photo captured more than just an image—it reflected a unique perspective and voice. It was inspiring to see our teens grow in confidence while learning to see the world through a different lens.

Our Bacolod homeschoolers have taken on the Read-Aloud Challenge! Since launching on February 20, our students have been dedicated to reading aloud for 10 minutes every day. 📖✨

It’s inspiring to watch them grow in confidence, fluency, and expression as they bring stories to life. Through this simple daily habit, they aren’t just becoming more skilled communicators—they’re discovering a lifelong love for books.

To celebrate the completion of the challenge, we’ll be hosting a Read-Aloud Fest in April. Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion and have the chance to showcase their reading through a live or recorded performance.
