ADSUM PAHANUMDOM:
REMINDERS FOR THE CANONICAL INSTALLATION OF THE MOST REV. LOUIE P. GALBINES, D.D.

Peace!

To help ensure a solemn and orderly celebration, we kindly request the cooperation of all invited guests and members of the faithful.

BEFORE ENTERING THE CATHEDRAL

1. Bring your official ribbon. All invited guests are requested to bring and wear the official ribbon issued to them. This serves as your identification and admission pass.

2. Present your ribbon to one of our volunteer ushers upon arrival. They will verify your ribbon and direct you to your designated seating section.

3. Seating Arrangement.
* Seating inside the Cathedral is color-coded according to ribbon designation.
* Seats are not reserved. Seating within each ribbon section is on a first come, first served basis.
* We respectfully ask everyone to occupy only the seats assigned to their ribbon category.

4. Overflow Areas. Once the Cathedral reaches its seating capacity, guests will be directed to the designated overflow areas, where the liturgical celebration may be followed through the live video feed. Members of the faithful who have not received an official ribbon are likewise kindly requested to proceed directly to the designated overflow areas.

5. Entrance and Exit.

* Entrance will only be through:

* the Main Door;
* the Side Door near the Image of Our Lady of the Rosary; and
* the Side Door near the Image of Our Lady of the Rule.
* All other Cathedral doors are designated for exit only.
* Should you need to re-enter the Cathedral, please use only the designated entrance doors.

6. Parking. Parking inside the Cathedral compound is not permitted. Guests are kindly requested to use the designated parking areas outside the Cathedral premises.

DURING THE LITURGICAL CELEBRATION

7. Maintain a prayerful disposition. We gather above all for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Everyone is encouraged to participate actively, prayerfully, and reverently throughout the Sacred Liturgy.

8. Silence Mobile Phones. Kindly place all mobile phones and electronic devices on silent mode before the celebration begins.

9. Photography and Video Recording. To preserve the dignity and solemnity of the Sacred Liturgy, guests are requested to refrain from taking photographs or recording videos during the Mass. Official documentation will be undertaken exclusively by the authorized media and documentation team.

10. Remain in Your Assigned Seat. For the orderly movement of the liturgical ministers and the congregation, kindly remain in your assigned seat unless otherwise directed by the ushers.

11. Follow the Directions of the Ushers and Security Personnel. Our volunteer ushers and security personnel are generously offering their time and service to ensure the smooth conduct of this celebration. We respectfully ask everyone to extend them courtesy, patience, and cooperation.

FOR YOUR COMFORT

12. We encourage everyone to:

* arrive early to allow sufficient time for security screening and seating;
* wear formal and modest attire befitting the dignity of the sacred celebration;
* bring a handheld fan and a bottle of water; and
* keep personal belongings to a minimum for your convenience and the comfort of others.

AFTER THE MASS

13. Official Photo Opportunity. Following the conclusion of the Mass, there will be an organized photo opportunity with Bishop Louie. Groups will be called according to a predetermined sequence. Kindly remain in your designated area and patiently wait for your turn. Please follow the instructions of the ushers to ensure an orderly and efficient flow.

THANK YOU

Your cooperation, patience, and understanding will greatly contribute to a prayerful celebration as we joyfully welcome our new Bishop.

We hit the road for a cause, and what a grace-filled journey it was! Our Bisikleta Seminarista began on the right note, receiving a
send-off blessing from our Rector, 𝑽𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝑹𝒆𝒗. 𝑭𝒓. 𝑹𝒖𝒆𝒍 𝑺. 𝑱𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒐𝒔.

Our seminarians, priests, and lay bikers pedaled through the streets to keep the fire of vocation awareness alive. The long ride beautifully concluded at San Sebastian Cathedral Parish, where we received a wonderful, warm welcome from our 𝑽𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒓 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍, 𝑹𝒕. 𝑹𝒆𝒗. 𝑴𝒔𝒈𝒓. 𝑹𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒅𝒐 𝑺. 𝑸𝒖𝒊𝒋𝒂𝒏𝒐.

Even our 80th foundation has ended, but the vocation promotion continues.

📖 Daily Catechetical Series | Day 6

Important Symbols in the Canonical Installation of a Bishop

As we continue our journey of preparation for the Canonical Installation of Most Rev. Louie P. Galbines, SThD, DD, as the 7th Bishop of the Diocese of Bacolod, we reflect on the sacred signs that express the bishop's communion with the Church and his pastoral mission.

The Apostolic Letter (Papal Bull) is the official document by which the Holy Father appoints a bishop to a particular Church. Its public reading marks the juridical act through which the bishop takes canonical possession of the diocese, manifesting the communion between the local Church and the Successor of St. Peter.

The Cathedral Church, the mother church of the diocese, is the proper place where the bishop's canonical possession and installation take place. It is the center of diocesan worship and unity, housing the cathedra—the bishop's official chair and the principal symbol of his office to teach, sanctify, and govern the People of God.

The Crosier, or pastoral staff, reminds us of Christ the Good Shepherd. As the bishop receives this symbol of pastoral care, he is entrusted with the mission of guiding, protecting, and serving the flock with charity, wisdom, and fidelity.

May this catechesis deepen our appreciation of the rich traditions and sacred symbols of the Church as we prayerfully prepare to welcome our new shepherd.
