SCIENCE IN ACTION PART 2 – A DAY OF BRILLIANCE AND DISCOVERY!
September 19, 2025

Theme: “Harnessing the Unknown: Powering the Future Through Science and Innovation.”

Science once again came alive as our young innovators showcased their knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills in the continuation of Science in Action Part 2. The energy, excitement, and enthusiasm truly proved that learning science is not only fun but also inspiring!

In the Science Mega Quiz Bee, the battle of wits brought out the best and brightest. Grade 6 Carl John Bautista and Remarl Brenz Mejica rose as champions, followed by the dynamic duo from Grade 5, Axel Liso-an and Yjan Nathaniel Reyes, in second place. Taking the third spot were Grade 6 Marcelah Kate Ong and Princess Rexymae Descutido, proving once more that teamwork and knowledge go hand in hand.

The Egg Drop Challenge kept everyone on the edge of their seats as learners tested their designs with both courage and creativity. Victorious in first place were Grade 5 Lawrence Isaac Madalag and Ruby Lyn Garcia, while Grade 3 Efraim Vargas and Allan Deseo grabbed second place, and Grade 4 Riley James Bonda and Kirvin Vilchez proudly secured third place.

Meanwhile, the Traditional Poster Making Contest turned talent into artistry, showing how science and creativity beautifully blend together. Grade 3 Sai Erin Gemelo painted her way to first place, Grade 5 Lanayah Eso impressed her way to second, and Grade 3 Yael Demapanag completed the winners’ circle with third place.

Hats off to all our participants and winners for making this event a huge success! Your passion, brilliance, and teamwork remind us that science is not just found in books it is lived, celebrated, and enjoyed. Truly, our learners are future scientists, innovators, and creators in the making!

A special thank you goes to our ever-supportive School Head, Ma’am Suzette Lopez, our dedicated Science Coordinator, Ma’am Liezel Villanueva, our hardworking teachers and facilitators, as well as our enthusiastic pupils and proud parents who made this celebration of science truly meaningful.

September 9, 2025, Banago Elementary School-II once again proved that when hearts and hands come together, great things grow. The Clean-Up Drive at the Home Gardening Area was not just an ordinary school activity it was a celebration of teamwork, responsibility, and our shared love for the environment.

This worthwhile initiative was led by our supportive School Head, Ma’am Suzette A. Lopez, together with our hardworking coordinators and advisers: Sir Jason Cabuguason (Home Gardening Coordinator), Ma’am Aphrille Gemelo (SELG Adviser), Ma’am Liezel Villanueva (Science Club & Girl Scouts Coordinator), Ma’am Rea Mejica (YES-O Club Adviser), and Sir Ramon Salvador Macainan (Boy Scouts Coordinator). With them stood the ever committed officers of every club, who showed that true leadership means working with hands-on dedication and a spirit of service.

Armed with brooms, dustpans, and a whole lot of energy, our learners and club leaders cleaned, organized, and nurtured our Home Gardening Area transforming it into a cleaner, greener, and more welcoming space. Beyond tidying up, this activity reminded us that taking care of our surroundings is also taking care of our future.

Indeed, the drive was a success not only because the garden sparkled at the end of the day, but because it planted in every participant a deeper sense of discipline, unity, and environmental stewardship. When we clean together, we grow together and together, Banago Elementary School-II continues to bloom beautifully.

A big thank-you to our student officers and learners whose energy, teamwork, and genuine care made this activity possible. You are the true gardeners of change, helping our school and community grow brighter and greener each day!
