Building on a foundation of successful international cooperation, Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod (CSA-B) recently hosted a high-level partner visit from the Asia Festival Association (AFA) to solidify plans for continuous cultural and academic collaboration.
The visit served as a formal reaffirmation of the ties between the institution and the South Korean-based association. Rev. Fr. Jose Rene C. Delariarte, OSA, President of CSA-B, led the reception, emphasizing the schoolโs dedication to providing students with global opportunities and professional pathways in the arts.
Joining the meeting were Ms. Sandra Sycip, an Executive Committee Member of the AFA and former Tourism Officer of Bacolod City, and a distinguished delegation of Korean cultural leaders led by AFA President Dr. Jungwhan Kim.
The partnership between CSA-B and the AFA has already yielded tangible results for the Augustinian community. To date, the association has provided vital scholarship grants to talented students within the CSA-B performing arts programs. During the visit, the AFA leadership confirmed their commitment to maintaining and expanding these scholarship.
-Dr. Yong Min Lee (Chairman, Korea Event Industry Association)
-Dr. Eun-sun Seo (Marketing Director, Gwangju Chungjang Festival)
-Director Heeryang Park (Maruworks)
-Director Jiye Jeoung (Haenam Culture and Tourism Foundation)
-Director Jae Young Jo (CEO, JYK Entertainment)

Internationalization Update :
CSAB Officially Joins the Elite Network of the Consortium for Study Abroad in the Philippines
March 24, 2026, marked a historic turning point for Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod as it officially joined an elite circle of academic institutions during a prestigious ceremony held at One Space Ayala, Makati. In a demonstration of academic excellence and international vision, CSAB was inducted as one of only 22 selected Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the country as part of the Consortium for Study Abroad in the Philippines (CSAP).
This exclusive partnership, spearheaded by the Philippine-American Educational Foundation (PAEF), represents a shared commitment to strengthening global linkages and advancing the enduring educational partnership between the Philippines and the United States. By being part of this select group of 22 institutions, CSAB now opens its doors to host US Students, Researchers, and Specialists from the U.S., while providing a streamlined pathway for our own community to engage in world-class study abroad opportunities.
The CSAB delegation was led by our School President, Rev. Fr. Jose Rene C. Delariarte, OSA, who was joined by Randdie P. Cuelo, EdD (Vice President for Academics), Noeda M. Madamesila, PhD (Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Engagement), and Donah Banaticla, MAEd (External Relations and International Linkages Officer). Their presence underscored the institution's dedication to placing the Augustinian community at the forefront of global education.
The afternoon was filled with inspiring messages from key leaders in the field, including Dr. Shirley Agrupis, Commission on Higher Education Secretary; Julio Amador III, PAEF Executive Director; Jessica Simon, U.S. Embassy Counselor for Public Affairs; and Christine Joy Cari, Department of Tourism Assistant Secretary. Their words highlighted the importance of this new network in shaping the future of international academic exchange.
Adding to the evening's prestige, the event also commemorated the 78th Anniversary of Fulbright Philippines. The celebration was graced by distinguished Guests of Honor, including First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos and U.S. Embassy Charge dโ Affaires Y. Robert Ewing, who both joined the academic community in celebrating nearly eight decades of intellectual and cultural exchange.
As one of the few selected partners in this nationwide initiative, Colegio de San Agustin-Bacolod continues to break barriers, ensuring that our students and faculty are not just spectators, but active participants in the global academic arena.
Soar high, Augustinians! The world is now our classroom. ๐ ๐ฆ

Good day, Augustinians!
The COSAWSA Alumni Inc. continues to recognize and respond to the financial challenges faced by working students of Colegio San Agustin Bacolod. Many of these students come from families with very limited means, striving daily to balance academic responsibilities and financial hardships.
As alumni who once walked the same path, we deeply understand the sacrifices, perseverance and hope that define the journey of a working student. Inspired by this shared experience, we have envisioned a way to give backโthrough the Kapit-Pangarap Program, a newly established initiative dedicated to extending financial support to deserving students.
At present, for SY 2025โ2026, we are supporting six (6) scholars by helping cover their laboratory fees, laboratory instruction fees, incidental fees, miscellaneous fees, departmental fees, and other essential school-related expenses. This is only the beginning, as we aim to expand our reach and assist more students in the future.
To sustain and grow this mission, we have organized several fundraising initiatives. One of these is the sale of merchandise items, particularly stuffed toys, which will be offered during the upcoming commencement exercises of the Basic Education Department and the College Graduation Ceremony.
We are grateful to share that this fundraising activity has been officially approved by the Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration, through the In-Charge of Non-Core Business, this March 2026.
In this regard, we humbly reach out to the Augustinian community and ask for your support. By purchasing our merchandise or helping us promote this initiative, you become part of a meaningful causeโempowering working scholars and opening doors of opportunity for those who need it most.
Each stuffed toy is available for Php 400.00.
For inquiries and reservations, you may contact:
Ms. Rachel โ 0927 799 8605 and Ms. Junalyn โ 0918 939 7815
Your support, in any form, will go a long way in transforming lives and sustaining dreams.
Thank you very much, and may God bless you abundantly.
