The Association of Schools of the Augustinian Sisters (ASAS), under the Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation, has formally expressed support for the Peopleโs Initiative advocating for a genuine Anti Political Dynasty Law in the Philippines.
In its position statement, ASAS stood in solidarity with the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines, the Dapat Isa Lang movement, and Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan in promoting democratic reform through constitutional means. The association cited Article II, Section 26 of the 1987 Philippine Constitution, which states that the State shall prohibit political dynasties as may be defined by law.
The statement emphasized that the initiative is not merely a political campaign, but a call for broader democratic participation and equal opportunities for leadership. ASAS also reaffirmed the role of educational institutions in promoting civic education, constitutional literacy, ethical leadership, and responsible participation in democratic processes.
Through this expression of support, the association joined various sectors calling for reforms that uphold accountability, representation, and public service centered on the common good.

This Motherโs Day, we recognize the women who continue to nurture, guide, and inspire through every challenge and triumph. Their strength shapes generations, and their love remains one of the most powerful forces in every home and community.
Today is a tribute to all mothers for their patience, resilience, and the countless ways they make life brighter every day.
