Lasallians were brought together as one during the ๐—จ๐—ก๐—œ ๐—™๐—˜๐—Ÿ๐—Ÿ๐—ข๐—ช๐—ฆ๐—›๐—œ๐—ฃ on September 25, at MM38.

It was more than an eventโ€“it ignited the sense of community, servant leadership, and strengthening the roots of oneโ€™s faith. It fostered a foundation grounded in faith, fellowship, diversity, and leadership valuesโ€“which led to the production of meaningful connections and a vision of moving forward with fulfillment. โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿซ€

A week that began with a procession found its close in stillness. On September 25, 2026, the Lasallian community gathered once more at the College Library Lobby, not to march, but to sit together and listen.

At the heart of the program was the ๐—–๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—น๐—ฒ ๐—Ÿ๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ต๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—–๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜†, a simple gesture that carried an unmistakable weight, one flame passed to another, memory passed from generation to generation. It was a quiet reminder that remembrance is something we hand down, not something we hold onto alone.

Student Reactors took the floor to share their reflections, their words shaped by history but spoken in their own voice. What followed was a Moment of Silence, a collective pause honoring those who lived through Martial Law, and those who did not survive to tell their story themselves.
The closing did not mark an end. It marked a continuation, an invitation to carry these lessons beyond this week, into the everyday choices that shape how a nation remembers.

The University Student Government (USG) set its sights on the year ahead as ๐„๐ฑ๐ž๐œ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐‡๐จ๐ง. ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ฃ๐จ๐ž ๐‚. ๐“๐จ๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ presented the organizationโ€™s strategic initiatives and planned programs on September 24 at the Miguel Lobby. Opening the address, Toquillo emphasized that building a stronger Lasallian community calls for collective responsibility, with every effort contributing to a shared vision.

Toquillo also reflected on the events and initiatives carried out since the beginning of his term, highlighting the work that has shaped the USGโ€™s journey so far. He then looked ahead to the upcoming Lasallian Week 2026, presenting the programs and activities prepared for the celebration and the rest of the academic year.

Closing his address, Toquillo highlighted the spirit of โ€œOne Animo," bringing together different voices and perspectives toward one shared mission. With the student body at its center, the USG moves forward into a year of shared purpose and action.

Would you have walked with us?

On September 23, 2026, that silence moved through the university grounds as the Lasallian community came together for the ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ.

Led by the USG Department of Advocacy Programs, students, student leaders, and collaborating organizations walked side by side, carrying placards that spoke what history sometimes struggles to say aloud. Each message was chosen with care, meant not to shock but to remind, that the weight of Martial Law is not a distant chapter, but a lived memory still carried by many.

Along the route, the Communications Society USLS brought a different kind of language to the procession through a Flash Mob performance, translating remembrance into movement. It was a reminder that grief and resistance and hope have always found ways to speak through more than just words.

To walk this path together is to say, quietly but firmly, that forgetting was never an option.
