Statement on the Cancellation of the 57th FIMFS Annual Convention
University of St. La Salle | November 2025

In view of the nationwide impact of Super Typhoon Uwan, the University of St. La Salle has made the difficult decision to cancel the 57th FIMFS Annual Convention originally scheduled on November 11–12, 2025, to be held in Bacolod City.

This decision was reached after careful consideration of the safety and welfare of our delegates, partners, and stakeholders who have been affected by the typhoon’s devastating effects across various regions of the country. The University stands in solidarity with the affected communities and joins the nation in focusing efforts on recovery and support.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all registered participants, presenters, sponsors, and partner institutions for their understanding and continued support. The organizing committee will explore possibilities for rescheduling the convention or holding alternative activities once conditions permit and recovery efforts are well underway.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted by Super Typhoon Uwan.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.
