My heart bleeds watching this. The man who campaigned and promised to ride a jetski and plant a Philippine flag on the highest ledge of Scarborough, claiming he would shoo away the Chinese, is the same one who ended up selling and betraying his people and country. Profound gratitude to the team behind this short documentary, who risked Chinese patrols to capture the truth at Scarborough Shoal.
"Ngayon, pag ayaw nila, then I will ask the Navy to bring me to the nearest boundary dyan sa Spratlys, sa Scarborough. Bababa ako, sasakay ako ng jet ski, dala-dala ko yung flag ng Pilipino, at pupunta ako dun sa airport nila, tapos itanim ko. Then I would say this is ours and do what you want with me. Bahala na kayo. I would stake that claim and if they want to--matagal ko nang ambisyon yan na maging hero din ako. Pag pinatay nila ako dun, bahala na kayong umiyak dito sa Pilipinas.” Rodrigo Duterte
The evil of a devil in a savior’s clothing. Fishing is the only source of income for our fishermen from dodging Chinese lasers at Scarborough Shoal. Why do our brothers have to sneak into OUR OWN WATERS at 3 AM, engines off, praying not to be rammed? They come home with empty nets, broken boats, and stories of water cannons.
What do we do?

On October 30, 2025, the atmosphere of anticipation at the Manila Marriott Hotel became the epicenter of a historic unveiling. The Philippines made its grand debut, revealing the nation’s inaugural selection of starred restaurants, Bib Gourmand honorees, and Green Star recipient. Chefs in crisp whites mingled with global media, industry titans, and proud restaurateurs, toasting to a milestone that placed Filipino gastronomy on the world’s most coveted culinary map. Amid the clinking glasses and flashes of cameras, one figure stood as the driving force behind this triumph: Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco. Her unwavering belief transformed a bold dream into reality, proving that vision, paired with relentless ex*****on, can elevate a nation’s soul to global stardom. Last night, the Philippine food landscape stood proud—because she dared to dream big.
