𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: 𝐂𝐇𝐌𝐒𝐔𝐀𝐍𝐒 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

On October 13, 2024, the Carlos Hilado Memorial State University - Alijis Campus, Bacolod Adventist Light Bearers, Bacolod Adventist Medical Center, Healberg, Negros Occidental Conference, RCY, and PCM AMICUS clubs proudly hosted an impactful medical mission that showcased the dedication and compassion of the CHMSU community. Approximately 400 attendees, including students, faculty, staff, guests, and senior citizens, came together for a day of health and healing.

Dedicated doctors provided essential medical services, including random blood sugar (RBS) testing, urinalysis, karada scan, blood typing, comprehensive medical check-ups, and X-rays, ensuring that everyone had access to vital health assessments.

In addition to these services, free medicines were distributed, further supporting our commitment to community well-being. This event not only addressed immediate health needs but also fostered a spirit of solidarity and empowerment among all participants.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event a resounding success! Together, we are making a difference in our community! 💙🏥

𝐀 𝐅𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐞: 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐠 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦

On October 8, 2024, the Battle Against Drugs Symposium, hosted by a dedicated non-profit organization in collaboration with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), took place on CHMSU-A AVR. This vital event aimed to address the ongoing challenges posed by substance abuse and to foster a united front in the fight against illegal drugs.

The symposium featured a series of engaging discussions led by experts in addiction recovery, law enforcement, and public health. Attendees were enlightened on the latest research surrounding drug addiction, prevention strategies, and effective rehabilitation programs.

The partnership between the non-profit organization, PNP, and PDEA exemplifies a holistic approach to tackling drug-related issues, combining law enforcement with community engagement and health services. By collaborating, these entities aim to create a safer environment, reduce the stigma associated with addiction, and promote a culture of recovery.

The symposium served as a powerful reminder that combating substance abuse requires a comprehensive strategy, strong community involvement, and unwavering support for those affected.

On 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒, 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟖:𝟎𝟎 𝐀𝐌 𝐭𝐨 𝟏𝟐:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌, the Bacolod Adventist Light Bearers (BALB), in partnership with the CHMSU University Student Government - Alijis, the Office of Student Affairs Services (OSAS), AMiCUS EXCELSIOR, and the Red Cross Youth (RCY) - Alijis, will conduct a Medical Mission with the theme “Empowering Communities: CHMSUans in Action” at Carlos Hilado Memorial State University - Alijis.

This mission is in collaboration with the Bacolod Adventist Medical Center (BAMC), HealBerg, Bacolod Adventist Light Bearers (BALB), and the Negros Occidental Conference (NOC).

The following free services will be offered during the Medical Mission:

✅ Blood Typing
✅ RBS
✅ X-ray
✅ Medical Check-up
✅ Karada Scan
✅ ECG
✅ Free Medicines (until supplies last)

Each person may avail of only two (2) services. Faculty, staff, and students are the priority participants for this medical mission. However, if the faculty, staff, or students do not wish to avail of the services, they may substitute up to two (2) of their family members or others in their place.

Walk-ins will not be accommodated unless there are still available slots.
