Grade 6 Parents Champion Shared and Civic Responsibility Through Reading Park and Shed Project

School Year 2025โ€“2026
In a remarkable display of unity and purpose, the Grade 6 parents of the 2025โ€“2026 school year headed by Mrs. Analyn L. Amando have made a lasting impact on the school community by spearheading the creation of a Reading Park and a Multi-Purpose Shed. This initiative reflects their deep commitment to shared responsibility and civic engagement, setting a powerful example for students and fellow parents alike.
The Reading Park, now a favorite spot among learners, offers a peaceful and inviting space where children can immerse themselves in playing Damath and in reading books and nature. Meanwhile, the newly built shed provides a safe and functional area for school activities, shelter during inclement weather, and a venue for learning beyond the classroom.
This project was made possible through the collective effort, time, and resources of the Grade 6 parents, who worked hand in hand with school staff and the wider community.
โ€œWe wanted to give our children a space where they could fall in love with reading and playing โ€œDamath,โ€ shared Mrs. Aurora Atam, one of the parent volunteers. โ€œThis Park is more than just benches and plantsโ€”itโ€™s a place where imagination can grow.โ€
โ€œThe shed was a practical need, but it also became a symbol of what we can achieve when we work together and itโ€™s a way of giving to Godโ€™s blessing,โ€ added Mr. Dolpo Gubat, donor and volunteer, who was present from the start and finish of the project. โ€œWe didnโ€™t just build a structureโ€”we showed an example of shared responsibility in the improvement of our number one community molder.โ€
โ€œIt was important for us to show our children that being part of a community means giving back,โ€said . โ€œThis project taught them that even parents have a role in making the school better.โ€
The school administration headed by School Principal Norman A. Pablito expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the Grade 6 parents for their initiative, generosity, and unwavering support. Their efforts have not only improved the schoolโ€™s facilities but also strengthened the culture of collaboration and civic-mindedness.
As the school year progresses, the Reading Park and Shed will continue to serve as daily reminders of what can be accomplished when families and schools unite with a shared vision for progress.

Cagui-ing Integrated School successfully convened its General Parents-Teachers Meeting today, led by School Head Sir Norman Pablito alongside PTA officers, faculty, and staff. The event discusses important preparations for the new academic year, emphasizing community-building, discipline, infrastructure upgrades, and stakeholder collaboration.

The program began with Barangay Captain Froilan Anangan officiated the induction of newly elected Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) officers. In his address, Captain Anangan stressed the critical role of parental involvement in combating youth vices such as underage drinking, smoking, and betel nut chewing (momma). โ€œThese habits undermine both academic progress and moral development,โ€ he asserted, urging families to reinforce discipline at home.

Then, Sir Pablito, the school head, also quite active in school events, decided to respond to the captainโ€™s remarks and began with a local touch by redifining PTA to โ€œParaTartaraken si Aanakโ€ which means โ€œGuiding the Child." He presented further changes such as the introduction of a strict โ€œNo Read, No Moveโ€ policy for Key Stage 1 (Kindergarten to Grade 3) learners. Under this policy, all children must achieve basic functional literacy, which is mastering reading and comprehension before advancing to higher grades.

Sir Pablito also discussed that to maintain continuity in spite of interruptions, activity sheets on such competencies will be handed out when there are class suspensions. Zero-tolerance for bullying was also announced by Sir Pablito, and he correlated it with low student motivation. "Bullying not only hurts individuals; it poisons the entire learning climate," he emphasized, appealing to parents to monitor behavior and report right away.
Besides academic reformation, Sir Pablito provided a vision for infrastructure and health projects set to revolutionize the school. On top of the agenda was construction of a new building to decongest the school, together with the immediate rehabilitation of sanitation facilities. Re-launching the Gulayan sa Paaralan program seeks to impart hands-on farm experience and reinforce nutrition while remaining faithful to Sir Pablito's firm belief that "a healthy learner is a productive learner." For this purpose, a feeding program for kindergartens will be mananged by Feeding Program coordinators Ms. Vilma Velasco and Ms. Perlita Awas.

The school's 2025โ€“2026 calendar has integration of October's Sports-Based District Meet and September's Academic Contests, which will be actively participated by learners of Cagui-ing IS to enhance and showcase their skills and talents. The persistence in support was called for by Sir Pablito, citing once again that "the school is the face of the community."

As the session closed, parents and teachers reaffirmed their commitment to student care and holistic learning. "Education is everybody's responsibility," Pablito summed it up. "Together, we can mold not only learners, but responsible, capable citizens." With these efforts, Cagui-ing Integrated School enters into the new school year, connecting education and community for a brighter future.

As she steps into a new chapter of her teaching journey, Maโ€™am Jennifer Feliciano leaves behind a legacy of patience, compassion, and quiet strength in the halls of Cagui-ing IS. Throughout her time as a Junior High School science teacher from September 2024 to June 2025, she was known not just for her deep knowledge of the subject, but for her unwavering kindness and perseverance through challenges.

Even in moments when students were unsettled or noisy, Maโ€™am Jennifer remained calm and determined and always striving to teach with both skill and heart. Her departure stirred deep emotions among students and staff alike. Many recalled her as โ€œa strong teacher through the ups and downsโ€ and an inspiration whose impact will not soon be forgotten.

The atmosphere was touching as Grade 8 students, advisory class of Sir Ranie P. Campos and the Grade 9 students paid tribute through emotional songs and special messages. Students prepared handmade boards, gifts, and even bouquets of flowers as a symbol of their love and gratitude. Smiles mixed with tears as photos captured these once-in-a-lifetime memories onstage.

Grade 6 Adviser Maโ€™am Jasmine P. Molina delivered a moving message about Maโ€™am Jenniferโ€™s strength, encouraging everyone to carry forward the values she modeled in every classroom lesson and every gentle correction.

As farewells were whispered and memories cherished, Maโ€™am Neriza Calias was warmly welcomed as the newest member of the JHS science faculty. Her arrival marks the beginning of fresh energy and enthusiasm. Students and staff offered her symbolic gifts and applause opening their hearts to a new mentor and guide.

The program ended on a spiritual note with a communal prayer, followed by more photo-taking and warm exchanges. Afterward, students returned to their classrooms, holding both joy and bittersweet feelings close to their hearts.

โ€œTransitions may be emotional, but theyโ€™re also beautiful reminders that weโ€™ve been deeply impacted.โ€ Hereโ€™s to great beginnings and fond farewells Cagui-ing IS stands stronger because of teachers like Maโ€™am Jennifer Feliciano and Maโ€™am Neriza Calias.
