October 8, 2024. The Science Department of Simeon Tycangco Memorial High School administered the PISA Pre-Test in Science among 15-year-old learners.

"The Programme for International Student Assessment is a worldwide study by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development in member and non-member nations intended to evaluate educational systems by measuring 15-year-old school pupils' scholastic performance in mathematics, science, and reading."

Simeon Tycangco Memorial High School

Grade 8 students of Sir Melvin Campit embarked in an exciting performance task for their Science 8 subject – Newton's Olympics! 🚀

Six teams competed in a thrilling 2-minute Olympic-style game, demonstrating their knowledge and understanding of Newton's Laws of Motion. From pushing and pulling to racing and balancing, the students creatively applied force and motion concepts in real-world scenarios. It was a fun-filled event filled with learning, teamwork, and friendly competition!

Great job to all the participants for showcasing both their scientific skills and sportsmanship! 💡👏
