Looking for something to keep you going? Take a break from doomscrolling and check this out! ๐ฑโผ๏ธ
Every Monday, the General English Club is posting inspirational quotes to promote spiritual and moral awareness to students, developing a sense of awareness, compassion, and faith to the four core values of the Department of Education (DepEd). ๐โ๏ธ
Today, our first quote focuses on the core value Maka-tao. According to Abraham Lincoln, "A nation's strength lies in the homes of its people." This saying emphasizes that a country's true power comes from strong families, moral values, and resilient individuals. With these three important factors to consider, it could bring us to a stable foundation of society, allowing our country to prosper and reach a brighter future. ๐ ๐ช
Even in small units, like our homes, we could start developing a sense of awareness by making small changes that slowly shape our values and guide society toward a better tomorrow. ๐๐ซ

โBetter late than never, right?โ
๐ Meet the officers of the General English Club! ๐
This school year, our team is ready to bring in fresh ideas, fun activities, and projects that everyone can look forward to. Our officers arenโt just here to lead, theyโre here to encourage, support, and make the journey of learning English more enjoyable for all of us. ๐ก๐๏ธ
For us, English is more than grammar and lessons. Itโs about gaining confidence, expressing ourselves freely, and connecting with people around us. Thatโs why our officers are dedicated to creating a space where learning feels exciting, supportive, and rewarding. ๐๐ฌ
More than just a club, we want this to be a place where everyone feels welcome. Itโs where we cheer for each otherโs wins, laugh together, and give a hand when someone needs it. Every voice matters here, and every effort is valued. ๐โจ
Weโre really looking forward to the year ahead, filled with opportunities, challenges, and experiences that will help us grow not just as students but as individuals too. With our officers leading the way, we know this year will be meaningful and memorable. ๐ช๐ฅ
This year is about growth, teamwork, and creating moments worth remembering. It wonโt always be easy, but with everyoneโs effort and support, weโll make it an unforgettable ride. And with our General English Club Officers guiding us, weโre more than ready for whatโs ahead! ๐คฉ๐

The streets of San Jose, Antique, came alive on the morning of November 23, 2024, as Antique National School (ANS) revived its beloved Walk for Reading after a five-year hiatus. Organized by the English Department, this fundraising event aimed to purchase printers and provide essential printed materials for students who lack access to resources.
A vibrant wave of characters from beloved books and movies flooded the streets as students, dressed in their favorite costumes, confidently strutted from the school campus to EBJ Freedom Park. Their creativity and unity shone through as they proudly shouted their original yells and displayed their handcrafted props.
The energy continued in the plaza as selected students led an invigorating Zumba session. The excitement reached a peak as students showcased their creative costumes, vying for the coveted "Best in Costume" award.
The resounding success of the Walk for Reading is a testament to the power of community and shared commitment to literacy. The event brought together ANS students, teachers, and community members in a vibrant celebration of reading. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this special day!
