Emotions are more than just feelings; they have a multidimensional nature that underscores their importance. While it’s crucial to acknowledge that emotions can sometimes lead to inappropriate outcomes, completely devaluing these internal states is unwarranted. After all, emotions help us function and navigate the world.
With that, they may deserve more credit than we usually give them.

While we often think that “cold” and objective cognition should take precedence over “warm” and biased emotional reasoning, this can be inaccurate—and even unhealthy.
The reality is that emotions are embedded in our everyday processing of information and decision-making. Instead of waging an internal war of cognition versus emotion, it’s best to embrace both—especially emotion—in our lives.

Should ChatGPT be your therapist?
It may be alluring to say "yes" to this question given how accessible AI can be. However, current research directs us to be gravely skeptical towards it due to its many issues and limitations. Ultimately, more research should be done on its efficacy and legal implications.
But while research is still being done, it would be best to rely on more established and empirically supported human-to-human therapy.

The raised awareness of mental health brings greater accessibility to the right resources.
However, with the influx of information to the untrained eye, it may be appealing to casually yet inappropriately diagnose when we see our "damaged" parts reflected in the symptoms.
Regardless, the concerns we experience and stress over in life—whether pathological or not—still deserve to be heard and understood.

It may seem common sense that humans neatly fall into two categories of biological s*x—male and female—but in actuality, common sense does not always align with science.
When we do deeper biopsychological research, our binary categorization of s*x gets greatly challenged with the presence of people who hold intermediate or “in-between” s*xual features. These are inters*x individuals.

One can easily feel lost with all the terms used within the LGBTQ+ community. Perhaps one of the more elusive ideas for the ordinary person, especially if they are an "outsider", would be trans identities. That's okay since there should always be space for growth and a willingness to learn. This primer is a good starting point.
