Who is Miss Joie SP?

Miss Joie SP is a UP Manila graduate and Registered Speech and Language Pathologist with 19 years of experience here and abroad working with pediatric to adolescent cases diagnosed with Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, Speech and Language Delay, Communication Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, and Stuttering to name a few.

She has honed her craft through personally and professionally pursuing mental health awareness, mindfulness, growth mindset, evidence-based practice and neurodiversity-affirming practice that involves and engages the family, parents and caregivers. She emphasizes the important role of parents and families as the primary stakeholders in the treatment and management of the client’s intervention and the need for close collaboration and partnership with allied health medicals, developmental pediatricians, behavior therapists and special needs educators.

Some of her certifications and interests include PEERS for Young Adults, Super Amazing Me, PROMPT Level 1, Childhood Trauma-Informed Care, DIR Floortime Level 1, Makaton Level 1, Motor-planning treatment of Speech Sound Disorders, Social Thinking, Dysphagia and Feeding skill seminars amongst others.

Her practical approach to therapy and lived experience as a single-mom of 2 Neurodiverse kids continue to steer her towards making a difference in the lives of the people she meets.

Afternoon Classes Shift to Asynchronous Learning

Due to the inclement weather, afternoon classes today, August 17, are cancelled on-site.

If it is safe to do so, learners may shift to asynchronous activities at home using the activities included in their Home Kit.

These simple activities are designed to encourage learning, independence, and participation through everyday routines and play.

Following the announcement from the Antipolo City Government, there will be no face-to-face classes tomorrow, August 10.

For our MJLC playschool families, we will be shifting to a play-based asynchronous/modular setup for tomorrow to ensure continuity of learning.
