A crucial but frequently ignored component of public health is adolescent health. Between the ages of 10 and 19, adolescents go through major physical, emotional, and cognitive changes that may affect their health. To ensure that young people can realize their full potential and live healthy, fulfilling lives, it is crucial to invest in adolescent health. The effects of poor teenage health can endure a lifetime and include chronic illnesses, impairments, and social and economic inequalities.

Adolescents' health outcomes must be improved by promoting healthy habits and lifestyles. Teenagers who practice healthy habits throughout their lives are more likely to stay in excellent health, including regular exercise, a balanced diet, and abstaining from dangerous conduct. On the other side, harmful habits like smoking, abusing drugs, and leading sedentary lives can be detrimental to one's physical and mental health. Adolescents can develop lifelong healthy habits by being encouraged to lead healthy lifestyles and behaviors.

A comprehensive strategy is needed for the effective promotion of healthy habits and lifestyles among teenagers. It entails fostering environments that encourage healthy habits, disseminating knowledge and information, and assuring access to services like healthcare. Partnerships between families, community organizations, healthcare providers, and schools can help achieve this. Teenagers require a nurturing environment that promotes healthy habits and wholesome social interactions. We can provide our children and our communities with a healthier future by investing in teen health promotion.

Healthy Behavior
Positive healthy behaviors can not only extend longevity but also reduce the risk of losing mobility and independence in later life, and there is already a body of evidence to show that lifestyle behavior differs according to age, with older people making up a large but unique target population for interventions.

Nutrition in Adolescence
Good nutrition is a key part of adolescents’ health. Youth gain more control over their food and drink choices as they grow, so adolescence is a great time to help them build good habits they can take into adulthood.

Healthy eating during adolescence is important as body changes during this time affect an individual’s nutritional and dietary needs. Teens are becoming more independent and making many food decisions on their own. Many teens have a growth spurt and an increase in appetite and need healthy foods to meet their needs. Teens tend to eat more meals away from home than younger children. They are also heavily influenced by their peers. Meal convenience is important to many teens and they may be eating too much of the wrong types of food, like soft drinks, fast-food, or processed foods.

" MY JOURNEY AS A READER "

My Journey as a reader started when I was 5 years old. My Mama started teaching me how to read. First she taught me how to read an Alphabet. My Mama said that it wasn't hard to teach me how to read that's why, it became easier for me to learn. As time passes by I started to be more interested in reading, until I didn't notice that I already loved reading and came out to be one of my hobbies. When I started going to grade school my reading skills weren't that good, but it was enough for me to properly read, comprehend, and understand the sentences I was reading. Back then, I still remembered that every time I go home after school, I would immediately take my English book out of my bag and start reading, and there were also some incidents that every time I encounter random words, sentences, and paragraphs in my sorrounding , I couldn't avoid not reading it. I don't know but I just feel so happy every time I read different kinds of words everyday. From my experience with reading, I have come to the realization that passion comes from unexpected circumstances. Some people unwittingly bump into what would become their life - long passion. While some discover their passion with the thrust of fate. Regardless of how you discovered your passion, one thing still hold true. Finding something you could pour your heart out of is one of the most satisfying and elating feelings in the world.

"MY READING JOURNEY"
My reading journey started when i was 6 years old. My parents started teaching me how to read the alphabet. Naive i was, i had alot of trouble learning, i was a kid after all. Surely my parents too had troubles teaching me. But then as i grew older i started reading alot of other stuff. When i got to gradeschool, my reading skills weren't the best, but it was enough to read and comprehend sentences with basic words. As i went to junior highschool, comics and animes greatly piqued my interest and that played a vital role in my reading journey as it helped my reading skills and comprehension skills improve alot, or at least better than when i was in gradeschool. Now im in seniorhighschool and i haven't had no time to practice my reading skills since this schoolyear started, because there's alot been going on these past months. So with that my reading journey comes to an unavoidable hiatus.

"My Journey as a Reader. "
We all read since we were children starting with ALPHABETS, NUMBERS, ABAKADA, etc...
I've always really disliked reading, even the abakada that my mother used to read to me made me cry because I didn't want to read that one, and because I didn't want to read, of course, I was scolded by my mom, who wouldn't.
For me, my reading journey started when I entered the 6th grade, even then I could say that I was really into reading but not like that when I was in the 6th grade because when I was in the 6th grade' I was fascinated by books and reading. my friends from 6th grade played a wonderful part in my life, as they influenced me to read different genres of novels.
My love for reading continued until the 9th grade, but when I was in the 10th grade, I lost the spark of reading novels, as if I no longer had the desire to read novels and such. up to this day, I still can't recover the desire to read again, as if it just disappeared like a bubble.
until now I'm waiting for the spark to return and have the desire to read again. I hope it comes back...

"The advice I’d give to somebody that’s silently struggling is, you don’t have to live that way. You don’t have to struggle in silence. You can be un-silent. You can live well with a mental health condition, as long as you open up to somebody about it, because it’s really important you share your experience with people so that you can get the help that you need.” — Demi Lovato.
