So many children spend their energy carrying worries that were never meant for their shoulders.
But what if they learned one life-changing question:
“Is this in my hands?”
In today’s My Heart Knows Kung Fu: WHAT’S IN MY HANDS? — My Circle of Control, our VEE Homeschoolers will discover a powerful lesson: directing their energy toward what they 𝙘𝙖𝙣 do, and learning to gently let go of what they cannot control.
They’ll learn that they may not control other people’s choices…
but they can control their effort.
They may not control every outcome…
but they can control their attitude, actions, and next step.
🗓 TODAY – May 25 (Monday)
⏰ 2:00 PM via Zoom
Sometimes the strongest thing a child can say is:
“𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠… 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐈 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬.”

As parents, one of the things we notice about young children is how naturally curious they are. They ask questions about everything. They explore. They imagine. They learn without anyone forcing them to. But somewhere along the way, many children slowly begin to associate learning with pressure, comparison, deadlines, grades, and the fear of making mistakes. 𝘔𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘬𝘰𝘵 𝘱𝘰, 𝘥𝘪 𝘣𝘢?
And this matters because the world is changing so quickly. We need to raise explorers, problem-solvers, creators, risk-takers, and people who can think beyond the box. But when children become too afraid of making mistakes or feeling embarrassed, sometimes they stop trying. 𝘛𝘢𝘬𝘰𝘵 𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘬𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘪 𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘩𝘪𝘺𝘢, 𝘴𝘰 𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪 𝘯𝘢 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘶𝘴𝘶𝘣𝘰𝘬. And perhaps many of us grew up carrying some of those experiences too.
But we can’t be too afraid. Our children are watching us.
This year’s Deschooling Webinar isn't about rejecting education or saying that school is bad. It’s an invitation to slow down and ask:
𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙬𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙗𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨, 𝙞𝙣 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙨 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨?
Because before we teach lessons, complete modules, or choose curriculum and approaches, we are first raising human beings in today's rapidly changing world. 2026 na po.
We are learning how to thoughtfully marry timeless principles with emerging research-backed insights in parenting, learning, and homeschooling.
That is what the deschooling conversation is all about. We also provide a Pre-Orientation session. Victorious Homeschool conducts the Deschooling Webinar every year for parents who are beginning (or deepening) their homeschooling journey. This is our 5th Deschooling Webinar, and every year the conversation evolves because our children, our world, and our understanding continue to evolve too.

Sometimes the world becomes so noisy that children forget how to simply be. They worry about the future. Replay the past. Compare themselves with others. Rush through life without truly experiencing it.
But peace, joy, focus, and connection are often found in one simple place: 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙢𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩.
Inspired by The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, Session 5 of My Heart Knows Kung Fu explores a powerful idea:
𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿.
Our VEE Homeschoolers learn to pause, notice, breathe, and become present, they become less controlled by pressure and overwhelm.
Come home to Victorious Homeschool and join us this Monday, May 18 at 2PM for this meaningful Volt-In session. Free for VEE homeschoolers SY 2026-2027.
Because in a distracted world, being fully present is a quiet kind of strength.

To the moms who chose to be present season after season even when it was hard....
You stayed.
You showed up.
And because of you, your children feel seen, secure, and deeply loved.
That definitely helps them have a Kung Fu ❤!

“They didn’t pick me.” "Ayaw nila sa akin." “They didn’t invite me.”
“Maybe… something is wrong with me.”
Knowing our children quietly carry these thoughts breaks our mama (and dada) hearts. 💔😭 But what if rejection didn’t have the power to define them?
In this week’s My Heart Knows Kung Fu: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗕𝗘 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗘𝗗, we help our VEE Homeschoolers break free from the fear of not being chosen.
They’ll learn how to 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, not as proof that they’re not enough, but as part of being human. They’ll build the courage to stand in their own identity, relate to others with respect, and form connections without losing themselves in the process.
Self-worth isn’t built by being included everywhere…
It’s deeply knowing who you are and understanding that it's not dictated by others.

This is a turning point for children who are ready to 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙥 𝙨𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜… and start showing up with quiet strength.
When a child learns that rejection doesn’t mean “𝙄 𝙖𝙢 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝”… everything changes. Promise.

Some thoughts lift us up. Others quietly pull us down.
What if our children could 𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝 those negative thoughts before they take over?
In this week’s 𝗠𝘆 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝗞𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝘂: 𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛𝗧 Volt-In Session, we gently guide our VEE Homeschoolers to notice what’s happening inside their minds—and discover that they have a say in it.
They’ll learn how to spot helpful and unhelpful thoughts, understand how these shape their feelings and actions, and practice turning negative thoughts into ones that are calmer, kinder, and more empowering.
This isn’t about forcing positivity. It’s about giving children the awareness and tools to respond with clarity and confidence—so they don’t feel carried away by worry, but grounded in choice.
Happening on May 4 (Monday) at 2 PM! Come home to Victorious Homeschool for meaningful sessions that help children build emotional strength from the inside out.
Because when a child learns to guide their thoughts, they begin to guide their world.

We often teach children to “stay strong.”
But there’s a deeper strength, one that grows because of challenge.... 𝘴𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘱 𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘴𝘶𝘣𝘰𝘬...
In Antifragile, Nassim Nicholas Taleb reminds us: resilience endures, but 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 transforms.
We’ve seen this in the stories children and children-at-heart love—
𝙂𝙤𝙠𝙪 𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙛𝙖𝙡𝙡,
𝙃𝙪𝙡𝙠 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙨 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚.
What if we become 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 in teaching this to our kids?
Not just to cope…
but to grow through mistakes, face challenges with courage, and discover: “I become stronger because of this.”
This is 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆—𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮.𝟬, and it’s part of our 9-session summer series MY HEART KNOWS KUNG FU.
We'll have this on Monday, April 27 at 2PM in our Volt-In class.
Come home to Victorious Homeschool and be Kung Fu-hearted!
