Conducted multiple Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) training programs focused on Drill Stem components, covering Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) in preparation for Level II qualification in each respective method.

The training combined product and process technology awareness — from raw material and manufacturing processes through to finished component applications — with detailed instruction on NDT principles, inspection techniques, acceptance criteria, discontinuity interpretation, and applicable industry codes and standards.

Participants underwent continual competency assessments, practical evaluations, and final examinations designed to validate technical proficiency and inspection capability for critical components utilized within the oil & gas and heavy engineering sectors.

Throwback to Tianhe, China on 2006.

Performed mill surveillance and source inspection activities for the manufacture of Drill Stem Stabilizers, with verification of raw material traceability, forging/forming operations, heat treatment processes, mechanical testing, machining and component finishing, dimensional and visual inspection, marking, preservation, and final packaging prior to shipment release. Scope of audit also included assessment of the documented Quality Management System for compliance with applicable client specifications, internal procedures, and relevant industry standards.

In January 2026, the PETRO VIETNAM Offshore completed a multi-disciplinary training and qualification program covering non-destructive testing (NDT) and drill stem inspection disciplines. The program commenced with Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) Level II, focusing on inspection theory, technique selection, and interpretation of relevant indications.

Prior to practical application, candidates were trained in steel product technology, including casting, forging, and welding processes, with emphasis on metallurgical characteristics, manufacturing-related discontinuities, and service-induced defects.

The program then advanced to Drill Stem (BHA) Level II training and qualification, applicable to multiple drill string components. This phase focused on visual, dimensional, and serviceability inspections to detect, evaluate, and classify discontinuities in accordance with applicable industry standards. The training ensured personnel competence in recognizing acceptance and rejection criteria and conducting inspections critical to drill stem integrity and operational safety.

MSPEC DSSI successfully completed an 8-day intensive professional training program covering Magnetic Particle Testing and Rotary Shoulder Connection inspection, conducted at the advanced training facilities of Eurotechnology in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

7 NOV 2025, successfully completed a professional, industry-standard Level II training program in Magnetic Particle Testing and Rotary Shoulder Connection inspection at the EUROTECHNOLOGY. The program covered detailed theoretical modules, applied field techniques, defect identification, documentation practices, and compliance with international drilling and NDT specifications to achieve full Level II competency and qualification.
